    boy meets grandma

they are like gothic bonni and clyde

    grandma dies

    boy sad

boy learns life dont suck so bad

  • One of the greatest trailers ever ever ever

    Thanks!

Never saw it 'til just now

  • Love this movie! Hate the sound track. I think Badfinger would have written better. Think 'We are for the Dark', 'Carry on 'Till Tomorrow', etc.

  • :-)

  • weird movie...

  • I can't believe this movie is from 1971 it's as old as me and I still remember it from way back when I was a child... hard to believe that times goes this fast!! Great movie :)

  • I love the movie! The music sometimes drives me insane!!

  • Harold: "you're good with people"

    Maude: "well, they're my species"

  • basically whats this movie about?

  • I love, love, love Harold and Maude. What a great movie. And, you can't beat the Cat for a musical soundtrack! :)

  • One of my all time favorite movie!

  • Oh how I'd love to watch all the scenes cut out of the movie! Everything, even bloopers.

Bud and Ruth were so awesome in this film!!

  • today- you google granny porn, and they'd be doing each other.

  • @brainsareus they did :P

  • It´s a cat stevens song? what song is it?

  • @0XxClaymanxX0 "If you want to sing out" is the name of the song

  • @MrJasteen Thanks

  • oops I meant Berkeley Pier

  • Who here is from the Bay Area? Part of this was filmed in or around Hollywood and much of it was filmed in the San Francisco region on the bay. The classic scene of H&M sitting next to the wetlands with the carved junk sculptures was around forever when I was a kid off of 80 or 880 next to Berkley Peer and near Golden Gate fields. I think the wetlands were dredged out and a wall of rocks placed there as a tidal break. :( wetlands are disapearing everywhere.

  • "But, I love you..."

    *pause*

"Wonderful! Now, go and love some more."

  • Harold and Maude was one whack-a-doodle movie...but with a special love of life, death and friendship!

  • harold looks like malcolm in the middle

  • guess what, Harold was already goth long before Peter Murphy!!!

  • CAT STEVENS <3

  • I wish I have a Jaguar hearse.

  • It's a real pity I was born so much after the seventies. I really think I'd have been at home then. But no, I had to be a nineties child. Oh, well; at least I can still appreciate the beauty of Harold and Maude!

    <3

  • happy birthday, bud, thanks for being harold :)

  • I loved this movie, it was funny the way that kid thought about death so much

  • she is the ULTIMATE COUGAR !!!

  • What is the name of this song???

  • @lenuzz the song is cannibal corpse-gallery of suicide

  • @Meteepee dam cannibal corpse has been around since the early 70?

they still look good for their age and they still have long hair still unless those are wigs

  • What is the name of this song???

  • I'm like fifteen years old. But I LOVE that movie :O

  • So it looks like the plot is: A boy and his grandmother who drives insanely. Is that all?

  • @TheLonelyImmortal ...heh, hardly. There's so much more than that. Without spoiling it too much, it AIN'T his grandmama, it would be more like his girlfriend. This movie here is The American Beauty, Rushmore, Donnie Darko of the era. Totally revolutionary, culture jamming, and boundary pushing socio-political statement of the day. Watch and see.

  • @handymandan100 Cool. Thanks. I will.

  • 40 years after this movie and still fresh.never seen this trailer but great one. totallu oposite of tdy ones .no words ,just pictures and Cat Stevens wonderfull score.

  • @marieledoux Baaaaa!!

  • @psammiad yes it is but the end is just so sad but beautiful at the same time.

  • @marieledoux everytime I watch this clip I feel so happy...

  • @gatoperezoso me too !

  • I love Maude with her yellow umbrella.

  • Easily the most inspirational movie I've ever seen!

  • The first time I saw this movie...I was in total absolute shock...on the verge of walking out. But when I saw it the second time...I got it! LIFE!

  • wtf?

  • This is a love story between the kid and the old lady ? lol

  • This movie is such proof, We can do what we want, We all have a choice, every minute of every day. He chose to LOVE, not to do what was expected of him. He chose LIFE. How wonderful, having a guardian angel in one's Life & taking THE chance. How many have their lives already thought out planned out & one obediently does as one is told only to to exist not live, how sad when one choose to do what is expected. Remember, all One has to do is Live, Love, be true to Ones own Spirit...

  • ruth gordin.....i saw her in "Rosemary's Baby"

  • I hate when others judge movies like this saying that's it's some form of pedophelia... for god's sake people it's just love!

  • This is one of my all time favorite movies.

  • They were REALLY in love in real life. I have Ruth Gordon's autobiography.

  • 1971, a good year for films and music, yes? :D too bad i was born 25 freakin years too late! curse u, inability to time travel....

  • i knoww :'( i wish i was the same age as now in 1971

  • seems like a film that is nothing short of pure amazement.

  • I saw this when it first came out in '71 when I was 12... could never forget it..that is the kind of film it is. I recently got a copy of it...love watching it, can't grow old!!

  • "Do you pray?"

    "I communicate"

    "With God?"

    "With Life"

  • @ThatLadyMai whats the film about?

  • Comment removed

  • @12yea122 A young boy obsessed with death meets a little old lady high on life and they get into some crazy antics along the way while learning some life lessons, eventually falling in love.

  • @ThatLadyMai u just copied that from netfix

  • @ThatLadyMai I do the same!

  • As in Life ... Harold and Maude is either a movie that speaks to you ... or does not.

++ Viewing Harold and Maude, in a packed Boston audience, with Ruth Gordon making a personal appearance in 1975 ... is a memory I will cherish for a lifetime.

** Kissing scene was removed as it was believed to be "over the top."

** Fu!# War ... not in film due to PG rating. PG-13 came around in 1980's.

** Seeing film "alone" and on a DVD, without the energy of an audience, will make a difference.

  • this movie was beautiful in so many ways. one of my FAVS.

  • love it

  • a very touching movie well very moving well layed out !

  • I so wanna watch this movie. Btw I loving this song, hearing it for the first time. I love Cat Stevens' lyrics man!

  • In the end Harold realises how precious life is. This is because of Maude's impact on his life. Harold could quite have easily have killed himself by staying in the car when it went over the edge of the cliff at the end of the film, but he didn't! This can only mean that he'd come to terms with his mental problem thanks to the influence that Maude had on his life. Fantastic film with lots of meaning for a good many people. Just watch it and you'll see!!

  • Goodevening KaninFamily! Wanted to comment on this very nice video. I've never seen this movie before but, it looks pretty interesting along with the song! Anita
