yeah i know people have got the 3.8 to over 400hp already easy and the 2.0 to 300. i have a 3.8 and i got about 341hp now with just a few simple mods. on dyno it was originally 280rwhp. i got 60 hp in only a few days of tunning
considering the ECU hasnt been cracked yet in the U.S. i highly doubt that. I also highly doubt that because you didnt post it on any genesis forums yet.
well you should start! if you really have 341 people would be eating you up right now with questions. what all did you do? i saw high angle cams gained a TON on the 3.8. i have a 2.0t track myself.. so i'm waiting on AMS and Buschur
i know but i dont wanna deal with all those questions you know lol... i got custom made intakes and exhaust, high flow filters, new oil, running on premium fuel during dyno, and when i took it back to hyundai so they could fix that damage control setting on the ecu, i dropped 2 grand and they tunned it for fuel management slightly and a few other stuff they didn't wanna say but it made a difference. the fix from damage control already made the 0-60 faster... i know a guy that works there and...
...he said some of the damage control cars were set high so they did additional tunning so they did a little extra for mine as well. minor but it helped. also re aligned all the wheels for better handling. so i got lucky. all together around 60hp increase. around 30rwhp from my own and almost 25 from what they did. not bad
So you didn't do anything to yours yet?... i shoulda got the 2.0T cuz could just upgrade the turbo and stuff but i wanted a 6 cylinder like the old skylines and supras. to bad it aint an inline 6 ;)

I was one of AMS's first custies, they built my galant. They moved south and I moved north. Devo built an EVO for me, but I got rid of it after driving the cobalt turbo. But when the Genesis came out, I test drove one, and fell in love. so the 4 banger is from mitsubishi, and the v6 is a new hyundai motor, rite? and if i heard correctly, isnt the v6 from the tiburon based off the mitsubishi 3000gt?
The 4 banger is from the GEMA engine family. Hyundai led the development of it then gave the rights to Mitsu and Chrysler. The V6 from the Tiburon is Hyundai's own Delta engine.
they didn't give the rights away, mitsubishi, chrysler and hyundai use to have a partnership, i think one of them backed out recently. but when they developed the 4b engine, it was a joint development and hyundai was chosen to make the engine blocks, then the separate companies finish them off to make them unique and not the same.

why? there are plenty of cases where the coupe has gotten about 400hp with bolt ons and stuff. mines is 341hp with little upgrades.

No, Delta is the old V6 (2.7L family). Besides the Tiburon, Tucson is the only vehicle that is still using this V6.

yeah, the internals are slightly different but it is the 4b11 block and it has a slightly smaller turbo. but it's awesome
