My computer already came lightscribe accessible. I got excited at the idea that i could put the actual picture of a torrented movie i burned to a dvd as the label and i was just about to install the software, until i looked and it can only do it on certain dvd's that you have to pay extra for. No thanks.
is there a way i can get the image closer to the small center hole ,where you normally hold your cd with your finger, just like the professional music cds images look like?
So let me get this straight, I need to buy software, buy a new drive, buy special disks that might not be archivable just so I can etch some cheesy monotone graphics that look home made?
Hello Friend... I have to say thank you very much 4 the insight to burn w/ lightscribe. I kept it simple being my 1st cd and all.. You helped a great deal...Slow with the explaining... I didn't download the "templer" once I did, it worked. again, thank you very much,.,., merry xmas..

Here in Europe, the lightscribe discs are even more expensive than normal dvd's... Why bother using lightscribe if u only see the cover of the CD/DVD box??? :D I think I would use lightscribe only for special occasions I think, not just for regular stuff I guess...
Linux, like, Lin uh x, with the uh as in someone punching you in the stomach.
And thanks, I have a Samsung external drive, but I've never used lightscribe as, well, didn't know there was a Mac version, I use MacBook, so go figure. Great tutorial.
Can I burn the label on a Lightscribe disc later, if I burn the data on a non-Lightscribe writer? Because I don't want to wait 1 year till I buy a lightscribe unit and I want to write the data now and label it later?
@barinit A link to the updated(volume pumped up) is in the video description. I tried adding one here but YouTube kept giving me an error. Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Yes you need a "Lightscribe" CD/DVD to burn these labels. You can't just use a normal disc.

cristian3131 3 years ago
I don't personally own a lightscribe drive (until next week) but I do think that you should be able to leave the disk then burn a label onto it.
maxamilion91 3 years ago
So I can write my disc now and label it later.
