slark is op if you have a team of noobs who feed him, because once slark gets on a roll, his AGI is insanely high. but other than that slark is paper thin, dust him, stun, hex, etc, as long as you can see him, his regen is pretty much crap.
Dust doesn't really counter him as he can easily remove it with Dark Pact if predicted. Wards (or Gem, but that's a no-brainer) are much more effective in doing so.
People who say slark is OP are the ones who just run away as soon as they're leaped onto, instead of fighting back. Or people who don't use disable because it doesn't deal any damage. Or people who don't pick disablers in the first place, because they are no carries.
Playing Slark against skilled players requires skill as well, timing all skills right to dodge most of the incoming damage/disable. Playing Slark against noobs is...well...rightclicking.

Also, let me add Slarks ulti is easily countered. The HP regen is not ALL THAT MUCH considered it's % based and you'r HP sucks. And Blood Pact does'nt clear ALL negative buffs (like venomancer's ultimate or axe's Battle Hunger)
God... People claiming "IMBA" to slark and apa are retarded... Slark has papper health and crappy stats, the first skill is mostly useless exept for helping clear creep waves at late game or situationally removing negative buffs ( If you survive that 2 seconds cooldown for it to take effect.)
And apa... He's just some new Zeus, why a much harder to aim ultimate, with some more damage on long range compated to his, and a lot less in short range since other skills are support's.
You have to waste gold on 2 bracers to help get him near "usable" health. Still sucks on overall stats. His skill is useless against decent players that don't let him fog.
Dissables will kill him in 2 seconds before he leaps into the darkness, doom can ulti him and bye bye all scape mechanisms regen or whatsoever.
And no, the regen is not "super mega imba" he has 800-100hp at lvl 6, thats 20 regen at most. With heart in a str hero it's way over 40 regen. So even if you max ulti its still less
Does'nt change the fact that nukes, dissables & anti-invis heroes/items can own him pretty easily. Just because it's got the best regen in the game does'nt mean he can stay at exp range ALL the time to farm or that all ganks are going to be sucessfull.
Your argument could just as easily be applied to rikimaru because he's invisible all the time and can't be harrased without wasting money, or to ursa because you can't 1vs1 without a dissable with most heroes.
youre assuming that slark has no items but 2 bracers and str treads at lvl 16
by the time he gets to that level he could have farmed a sny at least. slark can just tank up on str items, he doesnt need agi items due to his 3rd skill. also you only talk about how weak and fragile slark is, you dont look at the fact that slark is extremely strong. he has a nuke, leap with dream coil, agi bonus on each hit and invis while he attacks.
@evilfatsh1t Every time you spend gold on STR enhancing items your neglecting potential damage output from the SPEED you need to make your third skill effective. If your attack speed sucks you can't kill somebody in those 6 seconds of ultimate and your dead meat.

-Dream coil does some more damage , its much harder to avoid, stuns and affects all heroes on the cast area. Comparing both skills is just stupid.

On a side note: Slark has THE WORST str gain in the game. Only matched by enchantress. And still, she has a heal and an 80% slow to defend herself agains physical damage.
So, no, 2 bracers won't get you even close to "usable health". By level 16 you will have 912 health with 2 bracers or 1031hp with 2 bracers and STR treads.
his early stage of the game is total imba, hight damage and regeneration, mid stage is alright against many heroes but he is dead against almost any carrie. late game.. he sucks... his stats sucks and he is a bullcrap, unless he had a really great start with a shitload of farming and kills...
Slark is not hard to kill you only need one man with dust and there goes his ult.Also he is low on HP so he can be nuked easily.The biggest problem with him is his ultimate.Not active but passive.They need to nerf that regeneration.

This hero is so gonna get nerfed. It kills just about anything, starting from midgame. You NEED stealth detection and often more than one hero to bring this thing to the ground. I tried it one game and bought some attack speed boosting items, that was all I needed. His passive stat stealing skill makes him almost impossible for a lone hero to kill. Need survivability to the point where you've managed to steal stats and get 100+ agi? Use your ulti. After that he kills anything.
u are forgeting how fragile this hero is, at level 25 wit no item he's only got about 1300 hp. A simple dust and stun is enough to kill him mid game. Sure he might be able to pubstomp when he farms items, but against good players he won't dominate like u think. Nerf is not likely lol
even though those are some unique and good effects on the skills, that does not make him a ganker, but a semi carry role. I dun think his ganking abilities can top that of vengeful, nerub, tiny and miranna etc etc. U still g2 consider how fragile this hero is, and how easy it is for him to drop in team fights.

To clarifi my last comment: "why a much harder to aim ultimate" Should be "With a much harder to aim ultimate".
Also, let me add Slarks ulti is easily countered. The HP regen is not ALL THAT MUCH considered it's % based and you'r HP sucks. And Blood Pact does'nt clear ALL negative buffs (like venomancer's ultimate or axe's Battle Hunger)

God... People claiming "IMBA" to slark and apa are retarded... Slark has papper health and crappy stats, the first skill is mostly useless exept for helping clear creep waves at late game or situationally removing negative buffs ( If you survive that 2 seconds cooldown for it to take effect.)
And apa... He's just some new Zeus, why a much harder to aim ultimate, with some more damage on long range compated to his, and a lot less in short range since other skills are support's.

You have to waste gold on 2 bracers to help get him near "usable" health. Still sucks on overall stats. His skill is useless against decent players that don't let him fog.
Dissables will kill him in 2 seconds before he leaps into the darkness, doom can ulti him and bye bye all scape mechanisms regen or whatsoever.
And no, the regen is not "super mega imba" he has 800-100hp at lvl 6, thats 20 regen at most. With heart in a str hero it's way over 40 regen. So even if you max ulti its still less

alot of heroes require you to spend money on bracers or such to get them on 'usable' health
and your argument that decent players dont let slark into fog is stupid
its not hard at all to get into fog especially if youre around trees or the jungle area
20 hp/second is still heaps -_- you can roam around with gg movespeed and regen and by the time you arrive at another lane to gank youre at full hp
a hero doesnt need to be invincible to be imba.

Does'nt change the fact that nukes, dissables & anti-invis heroes/items can own him pretty easily. Just because it's got the best regen in the game does'nt mean he can stay at exp range ALL the time to farm or that all ganks are going to be sucessfull.
Your argument could just as easily be applied to rikimaru because he's invisible all the time and can't be harrased without wasting money, or to ursa because you can't 1vs1 without a dissable with most heroes.
Again, I fail to see "imbalance".

youre assuming that slark has no items but 2 bracers and str treads at lvl 16
by the time he gets to that level he could have farmed a sny at least. slark can just tank up on str items, he doesnt need agi items due to his 3rd skill. also you only talk about how weak and fragile slark is, you dont look at the fact that slark is extremely strong. he has a nuke, leap with dream coil, agi bonus on each hit and invis while he attacks.

@evilfatsh1t Every time you spend gold on STR enhancing items your neglecting potential damage output from the SPEED you need to make your third skill effective. If your attack speed sucks you can't kill somebody in those 6 seconds of ultimate and your dead meat.
-The "nuke" plainly sucks.
-Dream coil does some more damage , its much harder to avoid, stuns and affects all heroes on the cast area. Comparing both skills is just stupid.
-I've already said all I had to about his ultimate.

in a 1v1 it might be different, but in 5v5s the whole team isnt going to buy a dust or gem/wards specifically for slark. therefore hp isnt a problem for slark if they can even hit him while he is in his ulti. thats the imbalance

its going to be just 1 or 2 people
therefore, using slarks movespeed he can roam around picking off heroes without dust. that gives him 3 heroes to choose from.

which means slark can pick on the ones that dont. and you wont 100% be counterpicking slark all the time. sometimes you will pick heroes that may not counter slark, but are still required in the line up anyway. the nuke is good btw, deals decent dmg, low mana cost and cd. laning with another nuker can get you plenty of kills early. enough to farm a sny mid

On a side note: Slark has THE WORST str gain in the game. Only matched by enchantress. And still, she has a heal and an 80% slow to defend herself agains physical damage.
So, no, 2 bracers won't get you even close to "usable health". By level 16 you will have 912 health with 2 bracers or 1031hp with 2 bracers and STR treads.

his early stage of the game is total imba, hight damage and regeneration, mid stage is alright against many heroes but he is dead against almost any carrie. late game.. he sucks... his stats sucks and he is a bullcrap, unless he had a really great start with a shitload of farming and kills...

Slark is not hard to kill you only need one man with dust and there goes his ult.Also he is low on HP so he can be nuked easily.The biggest problem with him is his ultimate.Not active but passive.They need to nerf that regeneration.

It's almost the same as tarraste at lvl 16. Not "equal or even higher".
A lvl 16 Sven (1966,5 With H.) x 2% = 39,33hp/s
a lvl 16 Tide (2033 With H.) x 2% = 40,66
A lvl 16 Slark (684) x 4% = 27,36
And that's not even taking into account STR heroes need STR enhancing items and slark needs AGI items for the most.
Plus, Slark's regen is dissabled on sight, not damage.

This hero is so gonna get nerfed. It kills just about anything, starting from midgame. You NEED stealth detection and often more than one hero to bring this thing to the ground. I tried it one game and bought some attack speed boosting items, that was all I needed. His passive stat stealing skill makes him almost impossible for a lone hero to kill. Need survivability to the point where you've managed to steal stats and get 100+ agi? Use your ulti. After that he kills anything.

u are forgeting how fragile this hero is, at level 25 wit no item he's only got about 1300 hp. A simple dust and stun is enough to kill him mid game. Sure he might be able to pubstomp when he farms items, but against good players he won't dominate like u think. Nerf is not likely lol

ulti is a passive heart with 4% hp regen as well as a movement speed increase.

even though those are some unique and good effects on the skills, that does not make him a ganker, but a semi carry role. I dun think his ganking abilities can top that of vengeful, nerub, tiny and miranna etc etc. U still g2 consider how fragile this hero is, and how easy it is for him to drop in team fights.
