Beginning more clearly at about 0'50" it's variations of a trad. finnish melody in 5/4 time. It actually has no name, but the melody can be used for the singing of our national epic Kalevala. It's pentatonic, so it sounds quite oriental... All of Kalevala (in finnish) can be sung using this melody or any of many variations of it.
The Finnish national Epos, "Kalevala" is sung with this melody. This is a very beautiful version of this theme, of course the beauti needs a good player - the composer is lucky to have found one. Stepan Rak has also made excellent versions of many our (finnish) folk songs-I've been able to hear them in live concerts a couple of times.
