Not sure why people were expecting something 'more romantic' from this video. The lyrics are about desire, the dreamlike nature of entering a new relationship, and the inevitable fracturing of reality when a relationship is based primarily on lust - "I wanted you so easily, the illusion passed and now I see" - this video, although not the greatest feat in filmography, embodies that. Personally, I think it's well suited to the song.
