my gosh you have steady hands!!! question. are you twisting the colored rods, like you did with the twisty, when you pull the stringers? you're right with what you said. i heat up a clump and pull it out and get uneven results. also with my cane, i get a lot of stress and they snap easily.
hey im kind of confused about what the right hand is doing haha i know the left is spinning, but is the right spinning the opposite direction of the left hand? or is it practicly staying still to make the spiral effect? or could either work?
it means that when the glass gets hotter the surface tention of the glass gets softer and easier to twist, so he loosens his hand so that the glass can spin in it more easily, and when the glass gets colder, he tightens his grip because the surface tention of the glass becomes harder to twist.. He's just trying to get an even twist, not all thick in some spots and tight twists in others.
yeah i posted that when i first started lamping. i've found that I pull and spin with my right hand and my left holds it still. same thing just different hand right?
I will try that tomorrow thank you but you make it look so easy...

the right hand was mostly pulling, but you can twist it too to get a faster spin or to get a more, for the lack of a better term, drastic twist
