my advice to anyone is just embrace it, there is nothing wrong with keeping your hair longer at the sides, even if you are totally bald on top. it just depends on how confident you are in yourself.

Shaving it all off is only going to make you look more bald like an old middle age man. A hair piece or hair system is a better way to go depending on the individual's budget. It may not be your own hair but nobody's going to know!

My dad was black, and my grandparents from my mum's side didn't understand how my hair styles would be classified culturally normal from my dad's side. love the new look. Bald is beautiful! Balding... ehh not so beautiful. BUT keep the facial hair once you've shaved your head. Not too many guys can pull off the bald head AND clean shaved look at the same time especially if you have light eyebrows, you end up looking like you are going through chemo therapy. no one wants to look like they are a cancer patient. And the goatee or beard balances out your face w/ the eyebrows.

My hair is thinning but I still have most of it, almost like you did, but I keep it. I just keep it short. Looks good even if it's not 100% full hair. Girls still like me. I say if you're not a Q ball or you don't have weird bald patches, keep it. Just my opinion is all. But even so, you can pull it off good. I probably could too but not ready for that yet.

I love your parents. I've lived with balding for years. Not too many guys can pull off the bald head AND clean shaved look at the same time especially if you have light eyebrows, you end up looking like you are going through chemo therapy. no one wants to look like they are a cancer patient. And the goatee or beard balances out your face w/ the eyebrows.

That's the easy way out. Some guys lose a little bit of hair and freak out so they shave it all off. Not me. I'm 32. My hair is thinning but I still have most of it, almost like you did, but I keep it. I just keep it short. Looks good even if it's not 100% full hair. Girls still like me. I say if you're not a Q ball or you don't have weird bald patches, keep it. Just my opinion is all. But even so, you can pull it off good. I probably could too but not ready for that yet.

Maybe head shaving is a generational issue - most guys seem to take the same attitude about hair loss as you - if it's going, getting rid of it all sometimes works better.

i feel the same way, i started going bald at 19 an was like... "this really sucks, i'm not gonna look like me any more" but the sooner you start shaving it the sooner you and people around you can get used to it, people don't make stupid jokes about it... another thing, for all the balding people out there yeah it sucks but chances are most of the people you know will go bald and when it happens to them it will be harder to deal with coz they don't know how to deal with it

I love your parents. I've lived with balding for years. Transplants, shaving, growing, cutting, plugginess, insults, shaving again, tattoos, insults about the tattoos, growing out again, laser to remove the tattoos, thinness, see through, bald patches being checked out, shaving again, bleaching, questions, innuendo, No self-respect, you name it. When I started losing, my folks just said, "hey, just accept it!. look at Uncle Bob, he's happy" Uncle Bob did not look like he was pulling much ass.
