  • I bought the honeybeev2 as my first heli, I've had a couple since but I really disagree that its a good heli. The weight is off balance meaning you have to place the battery further forward than there is anywhere in the structure to secure it. I actually had to use additional front weights rather than velcro-ing it on the edge all the time. For a 'beginner' heli a user shouldn't have to so anything out of the ordinary like this and it cost me alot from crashing from this bad design. best avoid.

  • The Burt Munroe of big Lama's LOL! nice glad I ordered a green 2.4gh today.

  • @441rider

& HoneyBee of course. I have a Syma honey bear bottle flyer though.

  • roll on the day i an fly my HB v2 just as good hehe. (just started out)

  • Very nice flight !

  • hi, how bad outdoor conditions could this heli fly in? and where could i buy it cheapest, i have next to no experience with heli's, is this a good way to go? how easy is it to fix, and are the part easy to find? would really appreciate an answer, thank you :)

  • @tarantula1995 It cant handle much wind mate, but great first heli though! Parts are cheap, easily available, and it so simple to fix and work on!

YOu can get heli and parts from RC711 dot com

  • @msteer79 thanx a lot, finally got an answer to my question, thanx!

  • hi there do you recomend this heli is it better than the blade sr

  • @120craigyboy If its your first single rotor heli, then yes

  • is the honey bee stock

  • @ejb2184 Yes, all except the superblade Xps, they make heaps of difference.

  • @msteer79 would this be better than the 9104 if im new to outdoor

  • Are you wearing the GoPro helmet camera?? If you are...do you think you can put it on the Honey Bee and fly it around with no problems?? :-/

  • @luv2customiz hi man, nah im just using a digital camera strapped to a hat

  • i wish i could fly as well as you.

  • @goozyman cheers man, Wish I still had the bee! way less stressful than a cp!

  • ha, thanks mate. I wish I still I had a honeybee! CP helis are to stressfull

  • give it time man, and practice! you will get there!

  • Very nice flying! Im still on the crash and burn mode on the CP3, so i picked up on of these. Hope i can fly it as good as you soon! What song is this btw?

  • cheers man. Song: shapeshifter , bring change

  • give it time man, and practice! you will get there!

  • What kind of main blades are you using ...they don"t look stock.?

  • Super blade XP's

  • beautiful control =) i hope i get this good eventually!!

  • you will man, practice-practice-practice! these are so easy to fix, so crashes arent so bad

  • give it time man, and practice! you will get there!

  • Great flying by the way,,,very graceful

  • @Doamino41 Thanks mate

  • thanks! give it time man, and practice! you will get there!

  • So why would a HK450 be a better choice that a Blade SR or a Honeybee CP for a first CP heli?

  • Well the honeybee CP is all plastic, and have heard it is really sloppy, And The blade SR does look like a good heli, but its honeybee size, and I think the size of a hk450 makes it easier to fly, and work on.

By all means the hk450 is not the only cp heli you should start on, just from my experience with moving from a honeybee fp, to the hk450 was fairly easy, and succesfull

  • does this heli fly well in light winds? Please Respond :D trying to decide what heli to get

  • Yes, not to bad in light winds, but much more fun when it is still

  • Great flights with great drum bass! :)

  • Nive vid; what song is this?

  • Shapeshifter Bring change

  • Would this Heli be able to lift about 1 3/4 pounds or so. Maybe a flip video camera.

  • @VidPro95 Hi , nah, that would be way to heavy. You could get away with a keychain spycam, I have used one before. But you couldnt go any heavier

  • @thunda828 Hi there, what do you mean? What setting or difference are you referring to?

    Cheers

  • Never underestimate the power of a Honey bee FP. Where is everyone buying the super blades from.?

  • Its a fantastic machine! get the blades from... super-skids dot commy , be sure to get the XP versions

  • How long did it take for ur superblades to arrive?

  • 1 and 1/2 weeks. They send you an email once they have been sent

  • Nice flying bro.I've got a honey fp v2 as well just starting to learn side-in hover (very frustrating lol) I also get most of my parts from controlfreak, great service and prices but where did you get the superblades from?

  • did you get my reply to this comment???? the original one I typed doesnt seem to have shown up????

  • Nah I can't see it so it must not have come up

  • controlfreaks is mint. its cheap, local, and super fast courier!!!! But there are some things you just cant get from him. like superblades. you can only get them from super-skids . com make sure you get the XP blades, they are the best. You wont know your bee once you get them on it!! so smooth and stable. I filmed another flight today, uploading it soon

  • Oh sweet ill watch it as soon as it's up.I just checked super skids but they out of stock so ill wait till they have more and put an order in.

How long have you been flying for? I've only had mine for 2 weeks

  • Ive flown co-axials for a while, and the honeybee about 8months. but hardly get to fly as its always wind. so more like ive been flying the honeybee for once a week, for 8months. but practiced hovering in my garage lots to start with

  • that's what ive been doing, just hovering in the garage and little flights outside now and then. Im uploading a short vid now of me flying yesterday.let me know what you think

  • sweet man, il check it out

  • bor did my approval for your friend request, it hasnt added you as a friend yet

  • Great flying, seems like you were having a fun time!

  • thanks. I always have a great time with this thing. Its just a pitty that rarely get to fly it, as its always to dam windy!

  • Thanks, according to your advice, two minutes ago I ordered my superbades Xp :) Happy flights!

  • No worries!! Glad to help!!! Look foward to your vids!

  • @Alexbojorges look at my other vids, I see you have a big lama aswell! I have a vid on how to make your big lama better!!! aswell as some big lama flights

  • Excellent flight! I can not control my HBFP V2, you made any changes to your heli? what can i do? greetings from México

  • hey there!!! The only 2x things I have done, is add superblade(xps), and I do have a metal head/blade grip on it, I dont think the blade grip makes a lot of difference, but I had it lying around. The best thing you can do is put superblades on your honeybee. Let me know if you want to know where to order them from.

It may look like im skilled, but I cannot control the thing inside, or small spaces, Its easier outside, as I have a lot more space to correct my mistakes! Greetings from NZ!

  • cant wait till i get a chance to go outside with mine. i have a pair of xtreme cf blades but i think i might as well just buy some xps becuase i will have to switch out my pinion if i try the cf ones

  • yep, def go for the Xps, then theres no playing around with pinions etc... just change the blades and notice the major difference it makes!

  • Hiya, what part of NZ.. im in Welly.

Your skill level is at a point where it looks like your having fun :).. nice flying. Ive just moved from a Coaxial to the Honeybee v2 and didnt realise it would be quite a bit more difficult.. so im curious how long it took you to get to this level from the coaxial?

    Steve

  • Hi steve, in in auckland, well just out of auckland. it took a little while from a co-ax, to this level, time frame was 7months... but thats not really how long it would take, as I dont fly much, as its always dam windy, on average I practiced outside for 2x battery packs worth of flying, about once a week., when it was calm enough to fly.

  • bell video complimento

  • Thanks mr snowman!!!

  • Great video and nice flying !!! V2 looks good, too.

SuperSkids could use a good dealer in NZ if controlfreaks is interested.

    Happy flying.

  • Hi there, Thanks for the comments.

I just made this video in support of a hobbyshop here in NZ(controlfreaks).

    I will let him know!

    cheers
