Many people refuse to believe in the paranormal because of what usually comes with the territory. In other words, I would be very, very amazed to find an atheist who believes in ghosts.

Since ghost hunting has become somewhat romanticized, kids may be getting into it for all the wrong reasons. This could result in an almost epidemic of demonic oppressions and, God forbid, possessions. Be careful and remember, it's so easy to let the devil in, but oh so hard to get him out.

If you believe in God, and heaven and hell, then you SHOULD believe in the paranormal. What do you think your soul is? It's a spirit or a ghost. There are good spirits, and evil ones, and then demons. Just because you try to be open minded, doesn't mean you'll have an experience (unless you dabble in the occult - and by doing that you'll get yourself into a situation that you will want to get out of pretty quickly).

Would not suggest getting involved in the paranormal unless you want to really help others experiencing it or to learn how to deal with the paranormal if it should happen to you.
