  • Hi capt ben, i wsa just wondering the bait and hook u use, and could i fish for jack off of a bridge

  • @almerrick691

I would use a Pearl Jerk Bait and a 4/0 jerk bait hook.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • Ben you are having way to much fun! I love it when those jacks school up like that!

  • As a kid MAX Adrenaline rush! Even bluegill ! Having the knowledge I have about declining fish stocks world wide though. I just can't do it anymore. I know jack tuna would eat me if they could swallow my fat ass. I just don't want to make anything suffer anymore except fascists. If the giant corporate farms in SW Florida switched to rotational organic farming you'd be amazed how fish stocks would increase "that's a fact". Crony Capitalism is killing us, t

  • wher is this canal? city area etc?

  • your a fisherman that has his own show and ur gonna use a j hook which hav a better chance of killing fish in many ways, rather than a environmental safety circle?????? smh

  • @DwyerHighschool2014 get a life you bleepin' treehugger..what the heck is an "environmental safety" circle? i love it, another one of the brainwashed treehuggers who has no clue and thinks that every animal in the world is endangered. by the way genius, you can kill a fish with a circle hook too, I've done it myself and I use "environmental safety" circle hooks on all my rigs. in fishing, sometimes fish just die..especially when I load em up in my cooler for shark bait LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • u must be between the ages of 8 and 15 cuz ur getting worked, and i mean overtime

  • What series reel is that? Do you think It would make a good kingfish reel?

  • @jofes51

You can use the Avet MXL 2spd for a good kingfish reel. Thanks for watching.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • hey does ur boca have a fish weigher? thatd be awesome

  • @fishermandudejake

Yes sir, it does have a fish weigher.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • wheres this place at?

  • fish is free, water is free , air is free. Nice place to be

  • could u catch them near bridges kinda like the one u were fishing near really anywhere in florida

  • could you catch this fish in the winter in the inter-coastal near St. Augustine and Jax-ville in the winter?

  • After I graduate from college, I'm gonna move to southern states just because of fishing. Fishing SUCKS here in NY. I've been chasing fish for the whole season this year and been able to get just 2-3 striper keepers and 10-12 albacores. That's it. Everything else was small and no fun to catch...

  • Will they hit Rapalas ??

  • @baggiewon

When I get them chummed up they will eat lures very well.

    Godspeed,

    Capt Ben

  • Would a 600 Tek Shimano handle these beauties ? So jeaulos in Colorado right now,,, nice !

  • That was sick... I wanna try that..

  • My uncle once wrapped the line around his hand to lift his fish and just as he finished wrapping a 4ft whaler grabbed his fish! $30,000 on micro surgrery to join nerves, ligaments, tendons and few other stuff, then anouther $15,000 on plastic surgery later he's lernt to use lip grips! He lost his 7kg Mangrove Jack and almost his hand!

  • where was this video taken?

  • your channel kicks major butt!!!!! i want an avet reel now for sure!

  • jiggin a spoon would probly work just as well and faster.

  • Im coming back in the spring to go for some Canal Tuna...

  • what bait is that? and what fish can you catch with that bait?

  • Thredfin Herring

  • This reminds me of a 12 pound jack that I caught in a canal just up the way from where Capt. Chancey was fishing. I had to battle the thing for 20 minutes on light spinning gear and about 8 pound test. During the whole fight other Jacks were slamming the swim bait that was hanging out of the mouth of the jack. Pound for pound nothing outfights a jack. They are like bluefish on steriods. Simply awesome.

  • NIKK3800 your an idiot, fish may look the same but you can obviously see a weight and size difference in them

  • what kind of reel r u using

  • Avet SX 6/4

  • my son and i just love watching these videos.he has never been fishing in the ocean but it is our list of things to do when we go to florida in july

  • Awesome Post! It is great to hear you all enjoy watching the show as a family.

    God Speed,

    Capt Ben

  • That's absolutely amazing. Here, in Israel, on a good day we have that happen with grouper. The bait barely hits the water and you have a fish on. The only problem is them dragging you into the rocks. Mediterranean fishing is almost as great as that ;)

  • I didn't know that about Israel. That is great. Thanks for watching.

    God Speed,

    Capt Ben

  • they r all gray pelicans but theres one white one hm interesting

  • haha that's hilarious he just dropped it over the side to free some line to cast it and a jack nailed it in two seconds lolol

  • Hey Chancy,

I have been enjoying your videos for 2 years now!

Please Check Out My Video Response "Florida Canal Tuna"

If you like it feel free to leave a comment!

    God Speed!!!

    Regards, Capt. Mike

  • Hey captain,

In Hawaii, we love to catch jacks. I'm thouroughly amazed by this jack run you've got going on in the video.

I was wondering if one could catch fish (of any species) by bank fishing along the one of those canals by casting and retrieving threadfins or little mullet.

Do people do this? does this sound like it would work? I'm super excited to try tis next month when i'll be near miami.

I'd also like to look you up for a propered chartered tour.

    Mahalo,

    Will

  • Will, if you like to fish Jacks are about the most fun you can have in my opinion. They are great and I am glad you like them to. You would be better off fishing the points and docks rather than just fishing the banks. Get out there and give it a shot. I love the suburban style fishing.

    God Speed,

    Capt Ben

  • wat kind of reel were u using in this video?

  • Avet SX 2spd
