That's disgusting, I would never do that to my 57 Chevy. With all that money mine would have already been ready to run and race... This is disappointing.
Why write a coment if you dont have a clue? Wether you like the level of customization or not this is CheZoom! It was built by Boyd in the early to mid ninetys and was taken on all of the car shows and magizine tours of the time as a symbol of excess for his shop to show off their capabilities. If you dont like the car fine, but at least respect it for the art and history that it represents!!!
@serger2010 To each his own. There are many other 57 Chevys out there turned into couches, drag cars, and locked away display pieces. This is a great custom job they did.
@NoDakBees DESTROYED THIS CAR its not like you can buy this car new any more!!!! the more that gets tore up like this the less that there is of them .I gess this is my opinion.
@serger2010 There are many of these in original shape. Many here in my local town even. Plus, you can get an entire new fiberglass car body, top to bottom.
I love the external side on view the body looks wild like a bat mobile or something lol.. but that interior I don't like. nor my choice of colour but the shape is sweet.
For those that may be behind in their history books, this car is "Chezoom" built the early 90's by Boyd Coddington for the founder of the "Mr Gasket Co." Joe Hrudka. I saw it at the St. Machine Nationals in the mid 90's You may think it looks strange but there is alot weirder stuff on "Livin the Low Life"
this thing is one ugly piece of junk. tore a beautiful 57 into that yuck. that is just the truth and every one knows it. you will never see another one produce.
Doesn't look as good as a nice, stock '57 2 door hardtop coupe. You can't improve on a classic. There's only so many of them left, and once they're gone, they're gone.
I appreciate all the work that went into this machine. The 57 is a beautiful machine to begin with but by todays standards it is way too big.
I think this car should be mass produced. It possesses styling the newer cars just dont have unless you get into the 150K plus category. Hot rodding is an art form and this car is an expression of the designer customizer. I am glad Boyd Coddington and people like him have the money to impress us with their mobile art!
except they screwed up the new beetle (in my opinion) I love the old air cooled bugs, i own a 1970. The new ones are just way to, i guess bubbley (is the best way i can describe them) They look like a bubble going down the road, i can't stand that!
Thanks for the comments, it's not my car but it sure is a beauty. Have fun in the Monte Carlo. Please give it a rating and check out our other clips at CarShow on YouTube and visit CarShowDVD.com

This man didn't mess with any of the hundred thousands of 57 chevys out there. He just beautified it and made a good impression on the 57's.
