Yes, it might look funny, for some people - even for me, who likes MT -, somtimes, the fact that Dieter is not really playing the guitar when he "plays" with it on the stage, but that is the "charm" on all their appearances. The guitar thing is a nice concept, and not intended to be a fact. And regarding the present video, l like the "little visual symphony", with drummer, guitarists, etc., on a electro-dance track - quality image in appearance, is what I call.

You can hear this also in this video, but especially on a better quality upload - or on the original CD, of course.

I think the reason given at the time was that Dieter (the blonde) wanted to concentrate on "Deutschland sucht den Superstar" (American Idol / The X Factor type talent show, where he was the German equivalent of Simon Cowell) instead. If that truly WAS the real reason, we can only speculate.

There wasn't a fight (as far as I know), because the split came as a surprise to all of us. There was a legal dispute with Thomas about Dieter's autobiography (as parts about Thomas were slanderous), but the book wasn't released until some time after the split, so I don't think it was related. Maybe they just weren't selling as much any more, so Dieter lost interest a bit.
