and to know that these trailblazers from 2002 would literally last forever. mine only has 124,000 miles and the most major service was when it got new shocks. im surprised your engine got to 6k RPM, mine only gets up to 5.5k RPM. its sad that they discontinued the trailblazer. never would i sell mine!
Just wondering if you are still liking the PCMforLess? I am thinking about getting my Colorado's PCM tuned from them and I'm finding out what people are saying about them. Did it cause any problems for your truck?

mine has 69,000 miles 2006. It is displacement on demand. it has 3.42 gears. top rpm is 5600-5700. it is good on the highway runs 90 at 2250 rpms. good punch still 90-105. but with this gearing it has wide shift points like yours. i wish mine had a six speed manual and a 4.10 rear axle . but i would then have sucky gas mileage. but no doubt the 4.2 were the fastest six cylinders 2002-2006.
@fallen5522 Man i've had it to at least 125 easy and no shit it slows down after 90 cause it shifts into 3rd gear...As you can see the rpms aren't at 6000 rpm yet and it's already been at 120 for a couple of secs at the end so it can go to at least 130! When i get back home to it i'm gonna have to prove this i think. This isn't to bad for a 6 banger with 210,000 plus miles and all original. What is it that you drive? Btw this is geared as a truck so 3rd isn't supposed to be the workhorse gear.
@amdrewi It dosent have the power to get the rpms up to 6000 in that gear. I drive a trailblazer ext 5.3l v8 dyno tested 315 horsepower. mine gets faster at higher speeds. dont have the limiter out. so dont know how fast it is after 104. but its much faster than yours from 70 on. Theyre about the same 0-70.
@fallen5522 All this engine needs to be able to surpass the 5.3l is ported heads and a proper manual gearbox. My question for you is does your engine have this high mileage? Most newer GM v8's have better low and top end but not midrange. This has decent low and a badass midrange then slows down once it drops into 3rd gear and i know it can run 130 at least because the GPS don't lie lol! The thing is i wasn't about to hold the GPS in one hand while recording at that speed no way!
@fallen5522 Sorry that most people can't see the true potential of this engine for a 6 banger it's pretty badass...I know a video of one in action with bigger injectors, a turbo, mega squirt fueling, some tuning, better exhaust, a stall, plugwires and distributor instead of coil packs, lower compression pistons and i'm pretty sure the head is ported too. there are a few other things he did i'd say but idk what they are anyways. Put this in the search bar: NOVA WAGON 4200 VORTEC INLINE 6 TURBO
@fallen5522 Yes it says a 9.31 second quarter mile run...you should also check this one out, it only has a ported head with custom cams and makes at least 350 hp! Vortec 4200 hotrod engine ported head and custom camshafts by EMTech MotorSports
@bg1379 Yea at that time it was and still running just as strong now with 230.000 miles on it. Tranny and Engine have never been worked on except for maintenance. Fuel pump and alternator only things i've replaced on it that weren't maintenance items.

135 thats a joke you can barely reach 120. youll be lucky to hit 125 in that six cylinder. you can see it gives up at 90.

@dreday355 I have a PCMforless tune on it and had them remove the speed limiter. Mine will do about 135 without it according to the GPS.
