  • That's a LOT of straight spirit. A tiny spot of olive juice and some ice won't dilute the taste. Straight vodka and vermouth.. that'll burn the throat right off you!

  • I wonder who dinks all of the drinks hi makes? ;-)

  • It tastes like straight vodka on ice to me, just tried it LOL!

  • I someone bring me a glass full of ice i wouldnt pay for it

  • really? Smirnoff?

  • @vecchichannel3 yea why not smirnoff pretty much brang votka to the usa

  • @niklasjuchem Smirnoff might be good, but Absolut is way better

  • @vecchichannel3 i totaly agree with that BUT smirnoff is more classic

  • that's a looot of vodka man i love vodka

  • stirring is better than shaking

  • แดกยากจิง!!

  • WOW what an amazing murky grey martini. NEVER SHAKE A MARTINI.

  • @dorisallplus It's murkey grey, cause of the coolness (temperature)

  • @sahlertz8 its murkey grey because of the olive juice (its a dirty Martini)

  • too much shaking....

  • 6 people sturred, didn't shake.

  • @MillionairJoe If it was Gin I would disagree. Vodka doesn't make a Martini, sorry.

  • All the vermouth you need my arse. If you want to drink slightly vermouthy vodka then do so don't call it a martini, it just isn't.

  • Pond's martini is different.

  • i've always heard that you use 1 measure of vermouth and it stays in the drink. it seems to me that he made an especially dry martini.

  • fuking adds

  • lol was watchin some ole dean martin stuff and said how do i make a martini...lol.. so i contacted a gal i know and said how do i and whats in it..she sent this vid. and worked!... man thanks...lmao...not bad..i like it...never had one before...its good...weeeeeeeeeee

  • Totally shouldn't shake a martini that hard. Just give it a few normal shakes, then swirl it while occasionally sloshing it around until it's cold enough. It breaks the ice less, which means fewer shards of ice, therefore less WATER in your drink.

  • @TheReptilianBrain I agree with you, but I like to shake the soul out of those ice cubes =) I think the flavour is softened by the ice shards.

But that's the beauty of drink making. There's no perfect recipe

  • @Jejeco A vodka martini is good to shake enough to have those little ice shards in there to, as you say, soften the intensity of the alcohol. I should've specified my comment to a GIN martini, those are generally supposed to be stirred, as shaking is too much and dilutes the flavor of the juniper and vermouth too much. Actually just last night I had a delicious grey goose martini, with a few squeezed lemon wedges to flavor it up a bit. Shook the hell out of it, and yes, very tasty : )

  • @TheReptilianBrain ok!! That was a nice tip you gave there about the gin.

Merry Xmas, and merry martinis hehehe

  • @Jejeco haha, thanks man! I'm actually a bartender! =)

Merry christmas to you too! and, of course, merry martinis! i was making drinks for my family all night long! haha!

    Be well!

  • oh man, I like my martinis with 70% of Vodka and 30% of martini!!!

  • @Jejeco Wht's wrong with that? You should try my White Russians!

  • @SMALLCODNCHIPS white russian is to sweet for me hehehe...

  • @Jejeco It's too sweet for me but it messes with my friends big style. Prefer a Screwdriver myself but it's gotta be top shelf vodka (ie Finlandia) and top OJ (freshly squeezed) I could mention Grey Goose vodka but it's vastly overpriced and vastly over rated. Merry christmas by the way.

  • @SMALLCODNCHIPS I know what you mean. Changing the subject, have you ever heard of a drink called Jack Lemonade? It's one of my favorites as well.. Long glass with plenty of ice, 2 oz of Jack Daniel's (could be other whiskey too), 2 oz of lime soda, a bit of lime juice, and add 2 spoons of sugar. It's very refreshing =P

Merry christmas for you too friend

  • @Jejeco Hmm, I don't have access to all the ingredients today as it's Christmas day but I'll certainly give that one a go, sounds good. My wife would definately like it as she likes lime mixers in shots. Have a good day friend.

  • @SMALLCODNCHIPS Yeah, tell me what you think about it when you get the chance to make it.. good day to you too friend

  • Olive juice you too...

  • 8 count is 2 oz you idiot

  • @gtaleone depends on the pourer why cant anyone understand that?

  • @Zolkz1Zneew Well i dont really like this bartender

  • monkey see monkey do :D

  • "vodka is made to be warm, and to melt (the ice) a little bit, and to give a little water in there so it's not such a strong tasting martini and it's not so gross"

WTF?? Clearly this man has an utterly different concept of martinis from mine.

  • Ever had a Winston Churchill martini? You pour the gin, then glare at the bottle of vermouth from across the room.

  • Better use Noilly Prat instead of martini bianco. And take a GOOD wodka instead of Smirnoff like Wyborowa or so...

  • Great video but you could have shortened it. It dragged out a little too long. ie. talking about how to shake the glass and where to position your arms. Unnecessary, but good vid. Thanks.

  • garnish with a toothpick? :DDD

  • When you chill the glass, it works better with both water and ice.

At 4:30 he explains how much he dislikes martinis. Maybe you shouldn't be making vodka martinis with regular Schminoff.

  • My favorite.I like it better than the Gin mixture.

  • smirnoff fail

  • i use 1 measure of vermouth and 1/2 measure vodka and its nice

  • Then its not a martini. Martinis are supposed to be strong drinks.

    Try a Cosmo instead.

  • true but its refreshing do u recommend a cosmo?

  • Dear god in heaven NO! Think of a Martini as a normal sexual relationship and cosmos as a dirty pedophile.

Requirements for a cosmo: not in public, not with company.

  • If you just have, Vodka, Vurmuth, Martini glass and Ice, How would a person have it shaken?

  • are you sure you ever work behind a bar

  • are you sure you ever work behind a bar?

  • Vermouth is a fortified wine. There are two main types; dry and sweet. Dry vermouth is normally clear in color, and is supposed to have some sort of herbal flavor/aroma to it. It was initially added to martinis, which were initially made with gin, to make it so the drink did not taste as harsh. Sweet vermouth is the other type of vermouth, and is normally a reddish color. This can also be used to make martins.

  • Your right, and that's why bartenders tend to be more liberal with their servings of vermouth when making a Gin martini.

  • if you take this much time making martinis, dont people get aggravated? because bars are crowded.. i watched the bloody mary recipe and it was like a project Lol

  • He takes his time to explain his recipes so monkeys like you can see and understand so you wont ask stupid questions...but with mokneys like you....is wirthless

  • yea.... just go fuck yourself

  • @niettevragen go fuck yourself!!1

  • @niettevragen worthless*

  • @niettevragen i think even some monkeys can spell Worthless

  • the vermouth is only for a click on the taste , which will be stocked into the ice cubes.

  • I've never had vermouth. He's using so little of it. Is it very strong or something?

  • It's not really strong.

  • p.s. this guys a bit confused with the ounces, a double shot or 8 count is 2 ounces not four

  • yeah, he always refers to a shot as being 2 ounces, even though a shot is only 1 ounce.

  • The Vodka Martini is 2 double shots of vodka which is 100ml or roughly 4 ounces or 8 counts.

  • Smirnoff Martini!! GROSS

  • What vodka would you use? What about Grey Goose? I like that vodka.

  • Yeah, smirnoff is fine in fruit mixes but a vodka martini is essentially straight vodka with some added aromas from the vermouth and garnish. I like Belvedere Vodka for is clean taste but it totally depends on the drinker. Good luck mate. PS Vermouth is just white wine that has been with added herbs and flavours like wormwood and is good straight or in cocktails

  • Thanks for the info, I did not exactly know just what vermouth was. Sounded intense since the guy was like, "all the vermouth we need has stuck to the ice."

  • stolichnaya is the best

  • I´m agree with you xD

  • I always leave a little more vermouth than that, to me that just tastes like a glass of vodka.

  • Comment removed

  • Not from what i've heard but there are so many different styles for martinis. You may be thinking of a Margherita.

  • i prefer absolut vodka instead of stolichnaya.
