That's actually incorrect. The 1.3 engine was an extremely old engine that passed modern day emissions tests and met regulations so they kept using it to cut costs. It's inferior in every way, shape or form to the Zetec and Duratec engines. The 1.25l Zetec had about 12-15bhp more than the 1.3.
