Awesome. You the man. I have a vtx1300c, and the pipe is different. Is the Clayton mod part of this or was it done prior? If prior, where can I get the Clayton mod steps? Thanks
I have a 2007 VTX 1300c and the end of exhaust looks different than yours. My have a black cover at the end. Do I have to drill thru that cover or do I have to do something different.
I just lightly sprayed the end of the muffler to cover the newly exposed metal from drilling.
Tried not to over do it, but if I had more time, I could mask off more and touch up the entire inner portion...
I have gone back since then and increased to holes to 1/2" and drilled a hole in the inner pipe
My only concern has been stalling it wants to stall more when I start it up, so I tend to warm-up the engine more and have fiddled with the idle speed some
If it wants to stall, you might look at your air fuel screw. . it might need a little tweak. That should fix the low end idle area. . I wouldn't rejet it though.
it sounds worse

What did this mod do to your back pressure? Are you noticing any backfires since you did it?

You got your bags from All American. Is that the bag manufacturer or the store you got them at. I can't find them online.

rerivera70, yours looks different because he obviously cut off the ear/metal end plate.

The "C" model has a different exhaust then the others. I'm not sure, but I think it has one less baffle on the inside too.
