Well I think it is bloody disturbing and not a good way to dispose of unwanted and bad dogs,yes the bad dogs and sick dogs have to be put down or shot but why are they not cremated after, oops thats right I forgot this is the council we are talking about throwing them in a hole is cheaper and what the hell would have happened if a kid came across that scene and maybe fallen in one of the pits with the maggots and dead dogs,will leave that to your imagination but it wouldn't have been pretty
So what do you propose the council do with all of the unwanted, unhealthy, disease ridden, vicious dogs that nobody wants to take care of? Shooting dogs is very humane and they die instantly. Whats the diff from farmers who shoot their animals and put them in an offal hole? Wake up NZ and realise that people get dogs, can't afford to get them fixed and breed them with other xbred dogs and don't take care of them and then our kids get mauled and attacked!
Got nothing to do with maori's mate, this was authorised by the Whangarei District Council, with not one maori on the board, majority are of caucasion decent.
Has been going on for some time. The dogs get one shot in the head and then its up the back of the forestry and into the pit. Some of these dogs are good dogs too. But if the council catches your dog, it costs too much to get them out and your best friend is murdered, gestapo style. I have seen over 15 dogs a week go to those holes.

yeah but something must be done for this.. If the contry on its own doesnt care the other countries should help.. But nowdays countries dont give a damn about animals

its is just inbehind the spca up a gravel road bout 1k lng. directly behind the water treatment plant. not hard ta miss smells quite bad
