@SPG0890 actually in the previous game was established that bane was smart and successfully made a plan to beat batman and broke his back, but unlike the comic bane didn´t get the chance to recover from his addiction in black gate because young used him as a guinea pig, and in this game he wasn´t captured, he let it happen///

If you watch batman the animated series, batman chases down the croc but croc gets beat up by bane, batman asks him who did it and croc said the he (bane) had a southern accent which is from mexico. So we established that he's mexican, well he's not actually a wrestler cause in batman the animated series, he was in prison and they did experiments (venom experiments) on him. The mask and uniform is just to hide his identity.
