  • It makes me remember my teenage days... I'm 22 but at 13 I used to listen this album every day.

  • Seems Steve had a nice habit of greeting crowds in their native language when in a foreign country. Sounds like he said at the beginning "Bonsoir Montreal"! (pronounced "bon swa") which means "good evening" in french. Makes sense if this was live in Montreal, which is part of french-speaking Canada. One up for the guy!

  • So great ha, I wish I had a t shirt of the greatest hits album

  • @EyeballMuscles Bon swa Montreal!!

  • @journeylive After 30 years I finally know what he is saying there!

  • I learned to play the bass by playing along with this album. A year later I took up guitar and since I already knew all the songs, I used this album to learn 6 strings. Although I moved on from Neal Schon years ago,(for VH, Page and Lifeson) he will always be my #1 influence for that reason.

  • @stimpp Right on, Bud. Schon never got his due as a great guitarist because of the style of music Journey played. But, anyone who has ever experienced him live would know he could of made it big with any band. I mean, can you imagine being good enough to be asked by Carlos Santana to join his group at the age of 17?

  • YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! JOURNEY ROCKS. Bring back rock n roll, the way it used to be and SHOULD BE. Thank You very much, Mr. JRNYAvenger. Goodday.

  • Journey Live!!!!! need i say more? don't think so. JOURNEY ROCKS!!!!!

  • tell that new kid singer he needs to listen to this, definitely one of the best Live Journey recordings

  • great live version of where were you and just the same way.

  • awesome

  • :-)

  • awesome journey

  • Thanks SO much or posting this!! It brings back such good memories. Steve Smith is one of the greatest drummers of that era (this coming from a life-long drummer). This is one of the best live albums ever recorded in my opinion.

  • @garbobbage I really believe this might of been the album that put them over the top. Myself, I had always been a casual Journey listener before this album came out. Went and saw them with a good friend at Champaign, Il now long after this came out. Hooked every sense.

  • Awesome

  • The best fucken JOURNEY album ever!!!!

  • Journey Live!! need i say more? don't think so!!! Steve Perry is Journey!!!!!!!

  • Here i am! What time is it you ask? It's 4 20!

  • 7:12 - just pure musical heaven. Steve joining Neil's incredible solo is almost indescribable for me, it almost drives me to tears. Yep.

  • I always dug that part too ... I wish Neil would have just keep solo'ing for another 10 minutes

  • @wendileona Agreed. Also love @ 2:24 after Steve Smith's little

drum "rift"(?) how the music comes back together. Don't know what it's called, but it gives me the chills every time..........

  • Bon Soir Montreal, the first 3 songs recorded there......YEAH CANADA !!!!!

  • Where were you?

  • Steve Smith rocks the drums in this one,as does Perry.
