I LOVE MYSELF SOME ANGIE B. THAT GIRL HAD IT GOING ON. B ANGIE B COULD WHALE OUT THOSE NOTES AND TUNES. SHE COULD DANCE. SHE WAS A ALL AROUND PERFORMER! WHERE IS SHE THESE DAYS. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR SOMETHING FROM HER.
Angie Boyd did her schooling at the same time my basketball team's rival (Morton) Mississippi and she got signed thru Hammer's BUST IT imprint AND he discovered her moniker and made her a standout in his signature girl group OAKTOWN's 357. Angie's stage persona was always fiery with no back-down from Hammer's act. Living in ATL with her 2 children today,Angie has new music (with no intent of releasing). It should be noted that all wild female acts started here.
I have to admit this was the old days. This was the video I watched on TV when I was a high school student! Music really sucked as of late, but this track shows there were good days. The quality of this music is "proper," as the saying goes.
B ANGIE B WAS THE DEEVA THEN, AND NOW THE SONG IS EVEN BETTER. I WAS DANCING BACK THEN, NOW I'M WORKING OUT....HER,THE DANCER AND THE SONG WAS AND WILL ALWAY BE SHIT TO ME.......WERE YOU AT ANGIE?????????
Hey Youtubers I Uploaded B Angie B's Powerhouse mix of this song. Check it out and let me know what you think, its the version you will remember from the club days and when radio stations used to play the 12inch mix at night.
Wow! This was back when BET, really was BET. BET had sooooo much good things going on back in the day...........now it's pretty much trash. And that's a shame.:(
this use to be me and my cousins jam I was 10 and she was 14 we use to be dancing around the house lol our favorite part was when she freeze the music (3:59-4:13) we use to be striking poses LOL back when BET was worth watching video viberations, BET'S video soul, teen summit, midnight love, and News and sports
Still love this song! Still love B Angie B's remake from the original version (The Emotions). She was one of the people with actual talent but didnt make it big. It's sad because others who are less talented continue to blossom with the help of synthesizers and such.
dang this was my song reminds me of Video Box where you could request videos, im still scared to order things my mama told me she would crack my skull lol...
I remember special generation and b angie b had a promotional tour when I was a teenager. I was in the front and she had energy! U wouldn't want 2 b next to her dancin she'll knock u out! Ne way I remember it so well cuz special generation member Charlie held my hand as they sang you are everything. To do that to a teenager...whew...I was done. I was a big Hammer fan then and aint ashamed to admit it. :) And man do I miss video soul....Those were some good times!
I remember we had a dance routine off of this song when I was like 5 years old.... me and 2 of my friends ( so that had to be in like 85' or somewhere between 85' and 90') Lol..... what happened to B Angie B
VIDEO SOUL wit Donny Simpson Sexxi self, lol They realy did sing back in the day, no voice overs, no machines to make u sing..This was the Era of good music and videos.
@diva647 that's silly if you're fine you're fine, light or dark skinned. Making the color of somebody's skin a trend is is just idiotic. What if somebody were to say you're out of style if you are a dark skinned female?
B. Angie b could've been the new millenium Tina Turner with the energy and voice that she had. MC Hammer definitely did not market her right and these so-called artist today could learn ALOT from just watching this video alone.
Such a damn shame that a song like this, or an artist of her talent/caliber, wouldn't see the light of day in today's music industry. Just show's how far we've fallen. Thank God for youtube and the 90's.
Just for the record it's not "old school" but "but from the old school" and use to be the term was used for real classics from the 70 & 80's. The 80's was the bestest decade! Talk about what you know about!
I don't know, denzel. Remember the movie "Coming to America" - how Eriq La Salle looked (Soul Glo)? That was just a few years before this was made (1988 / 1991), so I guess a few people were still sporting the curl. Everybody I knew had a hi-top fade, but..........
I had to be about 4 when this dropped back in '91 (i was born in '86), but I vividly remember my dad bringing this cassette home back then and my sisters and I being so excited! MEMORIES!
@denzelsnipes69 unfortunately in the 80s and 90s America is still stuck on "lighter skinned" black ppl (supposedly) look better than dark, he doesn't look all that to me either and I'm lighter skinned than he is...
I remember not being able to focus on her vocals because of ALL that gyrating. I dont know about everyone else, but it STILL gets that energy going. Her range was S I C K...wow.
I had this girl lodged in my memory for the longest time and finally found her cd in a clearance bin. I bought it and it became a favorite of mine for this song as well as "So Much Love".....B Angie B should still be going strong today?? Where is she? Was there only one album?
boy oh boy i can remember nights in front of the tv waiting for b angie b to come on and we go crazy dancing.....those were the days...when all you wanted to do is have damce contest...lmao i miss those days!!!!
