  • People who think Coldplay invented this melody make me sad ;_;

  • Um, glad I found this... COOL.

  • Covox ..great job m8 ^^ great Electro-Pop/ Chiptune sound.. Kraftwerk would be proud of it..

i think Coldplay should never cover this awesome track, just negative for them xD

  • KRAFTWERK !! YEAH !!

  • Is it weird that i only know of Computer Love, and nothing of this Coldplay song?

  • Covox did a COMPUTER LOVE cover even Kraftwerk could be proud of. Great updated version of an electro-pop classic.

  • xD LOL. this is cute :D

  • Kraftwerk is at least 9 million times better than freaking Coldplay. It makes me sad that Ralf let them contaminate this legendary tune, though I've not heard the track sampling it and don't ever plan to.

Covox, on the other hand! Respect! This version is maybe a bit busy and a bit short compared to the original but it pulls it all off, I get shivers when it all resolves around 3:00 and fades out real slow...

  • @asphyxiaphilia Contaminate? how is using it in an entirely different manner AND environment contamination? Coldplay may not be your favorite band, but they're still pretty good, so have some respect.

  • @asphyxiaphilia 'though I've not heard the track sampling it and don't ever plan to'

Then you do get an opinion

  • @asphyxiaphilia Thx for the nice words :) /Covox

  • I like it

  • Good! =D

  • best kraftwerk song, love this cover as well, wish they would have done it in german though

  • @otterboi26 They have. On "Computerwelt" Album there is a German version.

  • epic

  • This has to be one of the most fitting covers ever. And it's AWESOME.

  • Amaizing Gameboy version !

I love Covox one more than the original :)

  • Timeless german classic.

  • Even on 8-bit equipment, this song is still a timeless classic.

  • veeery freeeak!! but i like ;)

  • I'm guess music played on some kind of Sinclair ZX Spectrum, or maybe Yamaha MSX home computers via AY-3-8910 or YM2149F sound generators. They have same sound at same 1.75Mhz frequency. Gameboy can't sound that way.

I mean just try to find some Spectrum tunes on Youtube and listen the similarity :-)

  • No, this is a gameboy.

  • @ZXRulezzz Gameboy + Juno-60 for the chords.

  • Comment removed

  • who do you really think wrote the hook? the 80s band or the 90s band?

  • browse for info, KRAFTWERK - Computer love, the original melodie is "quoted" by coldplay in whatever's the name of the song, ok? just check by yourself, bye

  • It's not called "quoting" it's not called "stealing" it's not called anything else... It's called SAMPLING. Artists GET permission to use old portions of songs. Jesus christ, Elvis is crowned a king and all he did was sing other peoples music, but god forbid someone samples something.

  • about the coldplay song, this particular case it's not Sampling, tecnically talking..

They quote a riff, not sample, sample is a certain technology.

    Good bye!

  • please learn more about that song... COLDPLAY Actually TOKE the melodie from the KRAFTWERK's SONG, from 1981 !!! And this is a cover version of Kraftwerk - Computer Love ( coldplay toke it from kraftwerk ok ? just google for info ;)

  • You can take a picture of something you see

In the future where will I be?

  • I love Covox, one of my favorites.

  • coldplay ASKED if they could use it and they said yes. so they didnt steal it.

  • Here's the deal with Coldplay. Coldplay is a business. They wanted to cover Computer Love because it's got a great melody. I'm certain their army of managers and agents insisted that they not attribute Kraftwerk because it would confuse the plebes that buy buy buy their records.

  • @virgildisgrace

They gave them credit for it on their album and kraftwerk approved, so there's not much controversy over the subject

  • I stand corrected!

  • its kraftwerk sorry ^^

  • a little too fast though

  • love it

  • *BUZZ* Wrong. You hear Kraftwerk in Coldplay. : P Computer Love = 1981.

  • Hokaj understand : D

  • : D

  • @eat0the0earth Coldplay asked permission for the song directly from Ralf Hutter, and he said yes. Personally, I'd like to see a remix of both songs together, lyrics and all, with some tempo adjustment.

  • thats because Coldplay stole the melody.

covox was so kind to mention that he stole it.

    Go find it.

    Kraftwerk - computor love

  • this is from the kraftwerk tribute album. its not stolen.

  • good version

  • the ergs! cover is better

  • No 4 bit?

  • this is brilliant!

  • sweet song, crazy how it's so low tech

  • how did u make this? where do u get the 8bit things and is it easy to use?

  • I think Covox is using a Gameboy with Little sound DJ. It's hard to understand trackers in the beginning, but after a few weeks you'll have it :D

  • love it, love it, love it!!! simlpy...

  • fuckin awesome!

  • Brooksbro and Bordeaux03,

I wouldn't say Coldplay sampled Kraftwerk, I would say Coldplay ripped Kraftwerk off. You sample a riff, Coldplay "sampled" the whole song. "Computer Love" predates Coldplay by 30 years.

  • apparently, coldplay spent months goin thru kraftwerks lawyers and putting loads of effort into contacting the band to ask to use the riff, and they heard nothing back apart from a piece of paper sent to them with "yes" written on it.

  • Once again proving Kraftwerk is the most kickass techno band ever devised.

  • SKEET SKEET!!! on Yo! mommas feet ^-^ i friggin love this song its epic :O !!!!!!!!!!

  • this is fuckin awesome! i have the original on vinyl. kraftwerk forever

  • great....just great

    5/5

  • Lovely! 8 bit all the way!

  • First of all it's not illegal.

Also this is a cover version of Kraftwerk's Computer Love but Coldplay did sample a clip from the orginal Kraftwerk song.

    Hope this makes sense.

  • oooh I just got Computer World.

I need radio activity, kraftwerk 1 and 2 to complete my kraftwerk cd collection. Well, I´d still need some german and english versions, but, you know...

  • dont bother with 1&2, they are a real disappointment after hearing autobahn and after. only get it if you are real devote or a collector. 1&2 are still kind of intertesting though

  • cool as shit huh?

  • Amazing! I grew up with a NES.. oh those memories.

  • this song hasnt had a comment for a month wow the tragedy :D ilove this song i wanna have a orgy to this song gawd ilove it :D orgasmn orgasmn

  • Found this on Pandora, thanks for the upload, I wanted to share it with friends.

  • it sounds like a nintendo game lol

  • Thats because it's made on a Gameboy :D

  • so beautiful.

    beauty in music is real.

  • i love this music

  • nice work, ! keep kraftwerk alive over and over again, in al sorts of genres and als sorts of bits :P
