I agree 100%. A week after this was posted I was walking at night & hit by a car. Fractured skull, cracked vertebrae and 2 weeks in ICU. Wasn't texting, just walking and I'm always wary. The guy turned into me (from behind) and was most likely looking down the one way street watching for oncoming cars and not looking for pedestrians. I was lucky. I'll also be even more wary in the future.

Why is it that the onus is on the pedestrian, and why do drivers seem to get priority here? Drivers could take a lot more responsibility for their driving habits too. Rick didn't mention whether the pedestrians were at a crosswalk or not, which would be a key point to factor in. This rant sounded a lot like blaming the victim to me.

i actually *DO* slow down in intersections... especially when the driver looks impatient. If I have a green/walk light, why would it matter what colour I'm wearing or how fast I'm walking?

He records the laughs from the audience when he records live and uses those laughs on the final products, the reason you hear laughs here is because he pre records his rants as i said before i have been to his show live and we had to sign a waiver before we entered saying it was okay that they recorded our laughs and if we were not than we could not go to see him live
