it's a common problem. to say its normal would be to ignore a problem that causes emotional and physical consequences. Similar to saying it's normal to be a little overweight. (that is also common and accepted in our industrialized culture)
how can you tell the difference between Seborrheic Dermatitis and Psoriasis, my skin doctor says i have Psoriasis while me father who is also a normal doctor beleives its Seborrheic Dermatitis
does anyone find that diet is a contributing fator to their seb derm? I.e. poor diet = bigger flair up... I know if I go on a night out and drink beer for example and have a greasy burger, im guarenteed to have an even redder itchier dry face the next day...
I find the exact same thing. I gather saturated fats and sugar are bad forseb derm. Plenty of water, biotin and a generally good balanced diet is the way to go.
man everyone who has ance never eats that shit inculdeing me and i always get spots and then when i once ate a lot of sweets and buns and shit because i was depressed i got no spots!!! and my old ones dident look as bad
hi dr neal.i have tried everything but i have unstopable redness and oiliness and some bumbs.pls help me,i am from greece and i cant get in new york.what can i do?
im a seborrheic sermatitis too my treatment is an neutral hypo allergenic soap with no strong ph then apply corticosteroid or hydrocortisone then wipe it with milk lotion moisturizer
i have seborrheic dermatitis all over my face, and ive tried elidel and steriod creams, shampoos, etc to no avail. moisturizers creams and lotions dont absorb into my skin well and lay on top of the surface.
this program was designed for those that have failed "everything". This patient and the other similar cases here had also failed those same standard treatments.

hi,
glad you are feeling better. there are now better ways to treat this without using topical corticosteroids on your face.
