Why dont you just explain to these people that you put the gt body kit, i have a 1986 mustang gt and we dont have those bodies :P. Only 1987 and up have those kinda "ground effects " they came with. So people dont complain about it not being a 1986.

THE CAR IS AN 87' straight up! IT IS NOT AN 86!!! The tail pipes going through the rear spoiler and the flames on the rear window HAVE GOT TO GO!!! Not a good choice

Go to a dyno shop.They can estimate your times while on the dyno!It costs 2 hundred,but well worth it!
