  • A very grand interpretation - wonderful sound beautifully presented!

  • Praise JESUS!

  • how many ranks does this beauty have?

  • @squidgetpj92 205

  • Actually, this seems to be an organ reduction of the original version for organ, 3 trumpets, 3 trombones, tuba, and timpani arranged by Dan Marvin for Tim Zimmerman and the King's Brass. Check out their website for more information.

  • That was fantastic! I loved the ending, just a blast of noise! Bravo sir!

  • I worked for MP Moller when this magnificent organ was built. I can still recall the sound of it when first played in the grand assembly hall at Moller for its final testing prior to shipment. Thank you for providing me with everlasting memories. Are any recordings available for purchase featuring this great organ?

  • @garytko There were 5 recordings made that are readily available for purchase via Dan Miller's website or the OHS.

  • @garytko Did you work with Dan Angerstein?

  • What an amazing performance! Cheers to you!

  • Just lovely!!!

  • Who composed this arrangement?

  • Fort belle oeuvre d'orgue !

Intense mais doux aussi, par moments !

    Composition intéressante !

    Thank you for posting

  • I love those trumpets, but I don't think they go well with the song. But I love your playing though! :)

  • A very grand interpretation - wonderful sound beautifully presented!

  • I wish this was available in print...

  • I wish the music for this arrangement was in print.....

  • DId you record audio separately by any chance?

  • Yes it was recorded separately. The D50 was placed on an 13ft stand at the base of the stage. I've been told that I should have been closer to the facade, but I don't think the "stereo" effect from the two antiphonal division would be as pronounced. Some people complain about the reverb as well - If I moved it out into the main isle, where you can hear a 2-3 sec. reverb, it would sound like a child rearing cough fest. :)

  • @moller11739 I use a ROland R-09HR recorder which works VERY well...and Ive finally mastered keeping the levels in the green when full organ is reached.

  • The very type of playing this hymn deserves...stately

  • Wonderful! May I ask you what kind of camcorder you used? The audio is great!

  • I used a Panasonic camcorder for the video and a Sony PCM-D50 for the audio.

  • Thank you! Great video and sound!

  • Awesome. Magnificent recording! Thanks for uploading.

  • I love this peace!! The organ has great tone quality by the way!!

  • Brilliant! I continue to be in awe of John's work! Please continue to share your videos of him and that magnificent organ for those of us who are too far to enjoy his God given talent in person.

  • LOVE THE TRUMPETS! There awesome!

  • Tremendous, magnificent, and otherwise marvelous. When David wrote Psalm 150:4 I don't think he dreamed of anything like this! 5 stars if you'd enable ratings.

  • WELL DONE
