you been using the battle sim? you know u could unlock some weps.. i have ARTASSAULT on my Walter. modded it. it is sick!!!! walter is the strongest one on mine. couldnt bother with upgrades and cash for others, mostly repair backpacks
So did anybody ever iso this game and tranlate it for an emulator.. stopped playing FF4 after i heard FF5 wasnt being brought here.. have all the others. Guess ill have to do some snooping.. i heard some ppl were emuating it a while back but idk anymore.
@wtfman880 E10+ but close. I think it's less on him and more on the content FM1 has that would give it that rating (or a T if the dialogue wasn't toned down a bit).
Dang.....their names do tell themselves and i do agree Driscoll was a monster>.>
also i would never expected seeing Lukav again(even tho i still have FM3 but i thought he died in the game) But still....wasent Rolf Wagner the old guy in the beginning of FM4 when your the girl?
This team's real difficulty comes primarily from Driscoll. All he needs to down anyone is 2-3 melee critical hits (unless you have a Terror Wolf body). And he won't need much luck since he has a 1/3 chance of getting a melee critical. He alone can take out a 3-man team; Lukav and Wagner are there purely so he gets more shots to melee you.
The other part of the difficulty comes down to the gear. It's pretty hard to win using only Hangar stuff, but it's a lot easier with Hard Mode-only items. Either way, as long as you take Driscoll out, you've won the fight.
That's right I spend dozens of hours to collect good gear... My Team was: Walter: Wanzer-Set: Zenith RV Weapons: Grave 2,State EX Hector Body: Crustacia Arms: Vapor (Repair + 40%) Legs: Desmatz BP: Repair Weapons: Peak Gaza, SP06-SD Ingame this Wanzer looks like a Shunwang ^^
Ah, yeah you shouldn't have much of a problem with this kind of setup. Downgrade your equipment a fair bit and those 3 won't have problems ending it quickly. Conversely, you could end it much more quickly by employing a Striker and equipping any of the 2 Dasler Claw parts (Driscoll has one).
you can buy the japanese version of this game and patch it with an english patch. so far though the entire game has not been translated with the patch but is well on its way by december 30th or so it should have most things good to go.
When does this game take place because the ds one took place in the 2nd Huffman Conflict and there was a person called Discroll. So that is why i am asking the time this took place.
timeline wise it takes place before Front Mission 3 but after front mission 1,2, and 4. The fact you get to meet Emma before she even created MIDAS shows that. I think they have a timeline around the net somewhere.
The AI is scripted to attack less if a Repair or EMP BP is equipped, especially with a Mechanic and a non-Aggressive type pilot. A better solution is use an Aggressive type and load up an Item BP with Repair or All Repair items.
No repair backpack in the arena is best. AI can focus on attacking more and less turns wasted on repairs. And he lost cuz this is the hardest arena team to beat. Even hard mode-exclusive gear is no guarantee of victory.
Everybody, please buy Front Mission 1st for the Nintendo DS to support Front Mission's success outside of Japan and the possibility of Front Mission 5's localization!
If you're judging in terms of what a game has, FM3 doesn't even come close to FM5. FM5 is top dog in all categories except strategic depth and execution, which still belongs to FM2. FM3's a love-or-hate game at best. Long-time fans hate it for poor balancing and lack of strategy. Newcomers like it because of the so-called "first game in series that gained attention overseas" effect(most obvious with Final Fantasy VII).
Well after playing FM1 and FM2 FM3 FM4 but not FM5. I have to say I would have loved the first 2 as much as 3 or 4. There all great games. Japan could have done more to get these games off their shelves and to the masses here in the US.
Whoa, now this is what I call 'battle', in Front mission 4, its still good but compared to this, f4 kinda sux, im gettin it IF its out in north america.
No, FM5's not coming out in North America. Square Enix may have let FM 1st for the DS come out, but that's only because it likely costs next to nothing to localize it.
i no if ppl buy fm 1 for ds, SE might localize fm5, if they did then awesome but if we cant then can you give me the site to download this? i'll figure out how to transfer
hey ask LegaiaRules he knows more all credits to him and his team for hard work really gratefull thx ppl.and its only translated soo much wip.and how did u play fm2 its jap only as i know.

Er, FM is a Japanese IP created by a Japanese company. Hence why it gets released there first and overseas(only 1st, 3, and 4) second. FM is also far more popular and well-known in Japan so obviously it matters to the Japanese audience.
Walter uses Zenith S, a Hard Mode-exclusive unit. It has the lowest part HP, but its Set Bonus abilities are godly(ex. Auto Repair 25%). Only powerful attacks can bypass its defensive abilities. Driscoll uses Raven with Desmatz Legs. The Raven Claw can do Critical hits(x 3) and that's what killed Walter. And yes, the Gepard Neun is playable and the redesign is pretty slick. Another Hard-Mode exclusive monster.
Strange, why i can't find any description of Gepard Neum in any FAQs? I think that Gepard is remodelling of Grille Shechs, right? If not, on what floors on Survival Sim i can get it?
Not to be picky, but its Sechs (translates into "6" in German), not Shechs. The build is Sechs H-Body, Sechs-Arms, and Zenith-Legs because the Gepard series is a successor model based off of the Igel/Grille line. As for Survival Simulator, check my hard mode guide for more details.
Everybody, please buy Front Mission 1st for the Nintendo DS to support Front Mission's success outside of Japan and the possibility of Front Mission 5's localization!
