  • I BELIEVE IN GOD.

I AM A MAN OF SCIENCE.

    ALL I HAVE IS FAITH.

    AMEN.

  • "we will keep that cross at ground zero as a reminder for gods love for all of us"

except for the 3000 peoples lives it took to make the cross, i guess god thought we needed this symbol of his everlasting love more than we needed our loved ones.

  • Even if many were not christian it doesnt mean they're go to hell......in no matter what faith or not they belonged to we are all brothers and sisters together. <3

  • that is not what it is doing people. For the love of god, listen to what the priest says. I consider myself an agnostic and I am the first one to argue against ultra religious fanatic individuals, the priest is just conducting a blessing and his first words were those of other religions. it is an eerie coincidence that a perfect cross is found while people our searching through wreckage. It tells us all; whether you are a muslim or a jew it tells us that " You are not alone."

  • @etburki21 It tells you that we build buildings with vertical and horizontal beams and that the people that died, weren't alone when they were allowed to die with thousands of other people by a god these idiots are trying to give credit to after the slaughter. A perfect roman torture device isn't something I'd rely on for comfort.

  • I can understand why christians want to keep the symbol as a monument after all it took 3000 deaths just to create the thing. god must really want us to have this reminder of how much he loves us.

  • It isn't a disrespect to other religions and it isn't a promotion of Christianity. That cross was put into place during construction, and it kept standing following the events of that tragic day. It was only removed for cleanup and construction. Now that cross is back where it belongs, on the grounds from which it was constructed in the 70s, and the grounds from which it stood 10 years ago when everything else fell. It is there to stay. God Bless America! From Sea to Shining Sea!

  • @cryptor13 it represent christianity

  • @cryptor13 Putting that cross in a memorial is stating that the victims who were not Christian are now burning in Hell. Having a cross in a national memorial is a slap in the face of what America stands for

  • @cryptor13 god bless this stolen land that non-chrisitian natives had and which the stealers first invaded to escape the very religion this "god" comes from. god bless a country that was attack by honest followers of their religion and whom were more than successful thanks to god favoring them on that day. No wonder secular countries laugh at us. It would be more impressive if god skipped the torture device (crucifix) and made an image of jesus out of the vertical and horizontal (cross) beams.

  • I like your video,greetings from ireland.

  • Just let them have the cross already. We have more important things to worry about such as our incompetent congress, taxes, the recession that we have not left yet, and of course the biggest concern is that idiot Perry from Texas who wants to run. You all thought that Bush was bad? Wait until Perry gets into the white house. This place will turn into a sister country of Iran

  • Get that cross out of there it bring disrespect to our dead

  • @FutureScience2012 wait, how is the cross disrespect the dead by respect the dead ? That is why its up there, to remember those how had died that day.

  • @igottogether There were more than just Christians that died that day, putting a dumb religious symbol there disrespects the other people with different religions and especially disrespects the ones that don't believe in fairy tales stories. If you cant understand that than your just an asshole.

p.s. We dont need that dumb cross to remember that day.

  • @FutureScience2012 Here the thing! that Cross isn't just for the Christians who died that day, but for all who lives was taking away; including the so-call "non believer" -.- PS I think the Atheists who are trying the take the Cross away are the true asshole.

  • @igottogether Your are one dumb fuck go pray to your delusions you heartless punk

  • @FutureScience2012 You mock my beliefs of believing in a higher power, (one that talk only on peace & love I might add) and you have the audacity to call me a "heartless punk " just because you call yourself a non believer, NO sir you are the heartless punk. >: I

  • BTW i think its retarded that the atheists are suing over this, but i can also understand there frustration on the issue. if a plane full of atheists crashed in downtown NYC do u think the "tolerant people" of america would allow a huge billboard with the words "there is no god!" to be displayed? probably not. the hypocrasy in the usa makes me sick, and the rest opf the world is starting to really get sick of it. u guys should be careful, or the next 911 will be worse.prech TOLERANCE NOT HATE

  • @mateo061984 putting that cross up is hate you hypocrite

  • @FutureScience2012 how is it hate to put up a cross....doesn't that thing mean good things?? i mean i'm not religious at all, but i cant say i'm an atheist, but i'm NOT a bigot either and have tolerance for MOST peoples beliefs(not the total wacko crazies obviously) so how am i being hypocritical? i'm just saying make it so EVERYONES happy not just select few whether they be christians, muslims, or atheist's.

  • @mateo061984 if ppl want to put up a cross/star of david/quran w/e at a place where there family member was murdered i think they should be able to, but ppl of all different faiths, not just a select one. and it seems that america has a real problem with any religious issues apart from christians.

  • @mateo061984 Its what the cross represents it doesn't mean good at all its the exact opposite, innocent people over the last 2000 years died for that cross and the lies that followed it. Religion brings nothing but hate, war and sadness especially to the ones with different views. Thats why we cant allow that cross to be put there. I hope you could understand that.

  • @FutureScience2012 your fucking stupid if you believe religion causes all that you wanna know why??? because Mankind is capable of evil all on its own look how much problems money, drugs and skin color causes. and the constitution that holds separation of church also allows freedom of expression from religions so bottom line go fuck yourself you you fuckin faggot nazi

  • @fastlyfe813 You mad bro YOU MAD BRO why you so mad you are MADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @FutureScience2012 is the pot calling the kettle black looking at the amount of time you put in on this comment board i would say the pot is calling the kettle black

  • ok so what is so different from putting up a cross(representing one religion) and not wanting a mosque(another religion) near? some of the 911 victems probably didnt want a cross over their grave either. why doesn\t ny put up a religious icons of all different faiths...i think americans should start being a little more tolerate on the views of the rest of the world, or else another 911 will happen. IF THERES A CROSS BUILD A MOSQUE.

  • glad to see it will be part of the renewal project at 9/11. very glad.

  • @msfinch45 "And to answer your question, if someone found a big letter A or a swastica or a crayon, and it inspired them to help and love, not hate and harm their fellow man"

The problem here is that this "inspiration" you're talking about is causing a hell of a lot of harm around the world. From everything to fucking up science education in the US, to producing teen pregnancies by opposing sex education and condoms, to mass murder in AIDS ridden regions in Africa for the same reason.

  • the cross represents god and christianity period. no if and or buts. This is america and we are suppose to represent all religions and atheism. If there was a cresent left over in the wreckage would you put that up on the finished building? HELL NO, so the coss should not be either. What if a swastika was left in the wreckage? Ya, think about it. Also, how is this cross signifigant? IT'S 2 PIECES OF PERPENDICULAR METAL!!!! HELLO--- NOTHING SPECIAL.

  • Dave Silverman, head of the American Atheists, called the display a breach of the separation between church and state.

He said that the cross “has become a Christian icon. It has been blessed by so-called holy men and presented as a reminder that their god, who couldn’t be bothered to stop the Muslim terrorists or prevent 3,000 people from being killed in his name, cared only enough to bestow upon us some rubble that resembles a cross.”

    God is imaginary.

  • As an atheist, i see one of the few pieces of a great building that proudly showed America's power. For me, it does not represent one religion. Those atheist that say otherwise are just being trolls.

  • @krisstopher07 "For me, it does not represent one religion. Those atheist that say otherwise are just being trolls."

Don't be silly. The only reason they picked out that cross instead of a random block of concrete is because they made the association with Christianity. That's why it's important to them. Anyway, American Atheists' lawsuit is pretty much watertight because they're insisting on equal representation or removal.

  • @Helotes420 It's commonly used as a grave marker.. not necessarily a statement of the religiosity of the individuals. Sometime rocks are used... do Christians shout that is a symbol of atheism?

  • @msfinch45 " Chill-lax about it all"

Well I wouldnt actually sue about it, but Like I said inserting any religious symbol into a secular memorial that commemorates what already have been such a divisive religious event is not a positive here. Some people that found it do see it as a symbol of their religions triumph over anthers religion's power.

"or a crayon' Point is they would not prop up a such a thing unless it already had religious significance.

  • @msfinch45 'it was found there "

Well wasnt it Michelangelo who said

"I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free."

It is us the pull the curds from the whey and see symbols in chaos, whether a face on the moon or two beams twisted at 90 degrees. Of which the towers contained thousand of such crossmembers, Your saying if athiest they found a large 'A' or another group a Swastica it would be ok with you?

  • @msfinch45 "as long as they are used to bring peace and harmony "

By your own admission this can and does apply to every symbol even a swastika which was and still is a symbol of fertility and life among many asian traditions most prominently Jainism which is arguably the worlds most peaceful religion. Still the issue isnt about offending its about goverment neutrality in promotion of religion.

  • @msfinch45 "it is OUR choice to ignore the hatred and negativity "

Of course but you did not address my questions. Plus The issue is if its right for the government to prop up a particular religion in a secular memorial especially one that commemorates what has been the most religiously divisive event in our history: its atleast in bad taste. Would you be ok with any other religious symbols regardless of its offensiveness, How about a swastika, or Laughing Buddha.

  • @msfinch45 "of other religious symbols in public places, do not visit those places,?"

Ok Are you saying that you would be ok with the 9-11 memorial aggrandizing a religious symbol that you found offensive. Or Do you think all religious symbols should be erected there and you would take no offense?

  • @BJVIDEOSLIFE OH REALLY? TELL ME MORE ABOUT THIS TRUTH UNVEILING!! YOU KNOW WHAT FUCK GOD, FUCK ALL GODS, AND ECSPECIALLY CHRISTIANITY'S GOD. STOP TRYING TO SHOVE YOUR FUCKING RELIGION DOWN OTHER PEOPLES THROATS. DONT FUCKING TELL PEOPLE HOW TO LIVE THERE LIVE. IF THE BIBLE SAID MAN SHALL BE WITH MAN AND WOMEN WITH WOMEN HOW WOULD YOU FUCKING FEEL. I'D BET MY LIFE YOU WOULDN'T GIVE A SHIT.

  • @Helotes420 Your comment is offensive

  • Don't atheist know it's NOT the cross that represents Christianity it's just a symbol constructed of 2 metal beams which represent the early termination of life. The vertical beam represents the life of the person and the horizontal beam represents the early termination. that's all LOL

  • extremist radical atheist.

  • Atheists need to get a life and choose their battles better. Why protest a cross at a memorial? Im sorry you all got the wrong bike for Christmas when you were 9 or got diddled by a priest or whatever- but this is a memorial- let people be comforted you arrogant pr!cks.

  • Perhaps there is a guy selling nothing in a box on the street corner for $5 and folks are buying it. Who cares right? I look at the guy and go play golf. Not so with atheists...they get their diapers in a bunch and prohibit something they say doesn't exist...that's very telling. Let's protest ghosts and goblins on Halloween or intelligence in liberals cause that doesn't exist either.

  • screw those damn lousy assed athiests and leftists. asshole lowlifes.

  • If god is not real then it seem that we are nothing special and, therefore, a few thousand deaths on 9/11 are unimportant. Of course, the same people who don't believe in god are the ones who worship big government.

  • Well these people are traitors, if they can't support a memorial for the fallen heroes of 9/11 than they are traitors to their own country. I say treat them as they wish to be treated as enemies of the state.

  • I hear some anti-theists are suing to have this stopped. Why cant they get a life and let the beliefs of others be expressed?

If this symbol doesnt represent you or who you lost in the towers, well it doesn't have to. You just have to allow it. Bring your own (tasteful) symbol if you want.

  • I'm an atheist, and this doesn';t bother me in the least. WE LIVE IN A FREE COUNTRY

  • @TEHTYMEKITTEH1

This is not about atheism. It's about leftist-ism.

  • @qpwillie

So they need to say "left-ism" then. I'm a conservative atheist and I hate being lumped in with libtards
