SONY KDL40W3000 LCD TV REVIEW

I bought the KDL-55EX720 five months ago in July 2011. Right out of the box it continues to work perfectly. I have not felt the need to change any of the factory setting. I have it hooked-up via an HDMI cable to a Sony BDV-HZ970W Blu-ray Home Theater System. It also had worked perfectly right out of the box. .

i know samsung are great, i love LG they seem to make great quality display screens...

Im pretty disappointed hate to say now with this W3000, was hoping I would never have to write this ever but. The remote control is already shot, needs replacing, and one HDMI port is having problem..(Sound doesnt come on from time to time). This is a real real downer for a brand new manufactured Jan 2008 TV. Picture quality and all is fantasticcc. But now this took away the great feelign of buying a new HD TV cuz of this problem shit. What else is in stores. Ill hopefully wont have to tell u.

I Disagree. A $1200 40S3000 720p for HDTV broadcast is superior. HDTV cast 720p, so a native 720P TV will display cleaner sharper pictures than (most) 1080p models, (see for yourself). Also, 480p SD looks fantastic on a 720p model, but LOUSY on most 1080p models. A 40" 720p looks as good as a 40" 1080p TV. 1080p is for 47" or bigger HDTV. Blueray, then buy the $2,800 47"+ 1080P Sony Bravia XBR and be prepared to be blown away. But for satellite HDTV, go with the $1,200 Sony 40S3000 720p HDTV.

I live in Ontario, Canada (feels like -30oC outside atm b/c of the wind). I bought it on boxing day and didn't receve it until a week later. It came with a sony's 5 disc dav-hdx466 home theatre system for $1800!!!Great deal you say huh? I ended selling the hts for 400 bucks (already have a 7.1 custum hts). So I got the KDL46W3000 for $1400!! WHAT A DEAL!!! :P

Me too.... had it priced match at the Sony store when it was sold out at Fshop and BB. Also got a mount for $80.00. Sony store was really great! I did try to get in a Home Theatre package for $100, as adevertised from Fshop, but the didn't bite.... This model is amazing. You certainly get what you pay for....

Well, the guy told me they were getting slammed by the BB and FShop sale. He really seemed to wanna sell this model to me, especially since he said that most people were buying the 42" model. I didn't get a HDMI with mine, but I did order one for my 360. I'm also using Logitech Z5500 Surround with Optical, which is phenomenal!!
