  • Utter crap and nonsense.. I believe in climate change, but not so much in sending a child to the UN which as it is represents nothing but utter sloth and helplessness.. somehow in hindsight this seems fitting!

  • Also, yes, the girl is energetic & courageous - there is no criticism about her - but do we really take it at face value that those are purely her own thoughts & words? That the speech wasn't rehearsed & that choosing a 13 year old over maybe a 100 qualified scientists an attempt to add a dash of melodrama to the whole issue?

  • ynomani: Those comments are rude and pointless. All they are trying to say is, instead of scientists coming together and doing something about global warming, all leaders are putting up an unnecessary carnival where all the right noises are made and nothing is actually done about the situation.I tend to agree with them to a degree, though I must say that unless leaders dont decide to do something about any situation,no matter how many scientists come together,no action can actually be initiated.

  • Lumajs/Pizzaman; looks like you are the pizza delivery man. No scientists were present in the submit all bulshit learders. The girl is young energetic and has courage to speak. Have u given speach before ? Try it don't deliver Pizaa only.. I have employed 1000 of pizza men and paying million in salary. They are earning money for me. In another owrd I have servants who earn money for me.

  • Reuters:

U.N. climate meeting was propaganda: Czech president

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - Czech President Vaclav Klaus sharply criticized a U.N. meeting on climate change on Tuesday at which U.S. President Barack Obama was among the top speakers, describing it as propagandistic and undignified.

  • "It was sad and it was frustrating," said Klaus, one of the world's most vocal skeptics on the topic of global warming.

"It's a propagandistic exercise where 13-year-old girls from some far-away country perform a pre-rehearsed poem," he said. "It's simply not dignified."

At the opening of the summit attended by nearly 100 world leaders, 13-year-old Yugratna Srivastava of India told the audience that governments were not doing enough to combat the threat of climate change.

  • GO KLAUS GO

  • Blah...

Instead of scientists and researchers presenting evidence, lets send out a child with a poem.

One day, hundreds of years from now, people are going to look back at this "Global Warming Science" with the same credibility that we look back at science of the Middle Ages.
