Yes that would have been awesome but wasn't it neat to see a vampire that is different by draining souls/youth/energy instead of blood? it's been done in movies like Lifeforce, Sleepwalkers, Twilight 2 and 3 (Volturi bad guy vampires suck souls out of victims instead of blood), Planet of the Vampires etc. i mean there are many kinds of different vampires in the world as these vampires are usually in Asian and Japanese vampire legend. Do you think they are better than sparkling ones?
