There is only one God, the Creator of all, Lucifer is not a God, he is a created being; therefore he is NOT on equal standing with God...that was his sin...he wanted to be God. He is trying to get back at God by trying to destroy human beings... he feels that is the only way he can hurt Him. Like an enemy trying to get to a person through kidnapping or killing their kids...
