@Derkade1 ITS NOT TRUE Becoz I installed my in Win7 X64 and i finished the game already ! How did i get to play ~ Easy ! Just look for this software called Microsoft-Games-For-Windows-LI­VE ~ This is the only solution to let win7 run Halo 2 !

weird.... i followed the steps EXACTLY as it is n i still get the windows live gaming error messaage. hey i do not had the error you are showing on my windows 7 32 bit instead my error is that i could not install the full game it stops at about 77% and stucks off till it is closed by task manager.while iam able to play the game still .i play only to the level before gravemind level as after that it gives error like the game gave on xp :insert original disk ,(please help)

I have installed Halo 2 on my Win7 and it works kinda, but when i come to the meny the game is like hyper speeded and it change background like every half second and sometimes its change normal speed. And i try join a server and the character just look down. I tried to move my joystick on my xbox controller the controll is like stucked. I can move it like a little but its keep looking down or up.

Any idea what the problem might be?? :(

@Alphabrotherz Try reinstalling direct x 9. I know it sounds crazy, but sometimes newer versions of direct x don't contain files from older ones. You'll still have dx11, or whatever, but you'll have all the necessary files. Reinstall the game, and install the direct x from the game itself. HOPEFULLY works

I did both the catroot trick and the oem. But unfortunately when I start up Halo 2 the Games for Windows Live still shows up asking me to Sign In or Create A Profile. I already have a live gamertag which I use on my Xbox 360 but still wouldn't allow me to proceed because my "product key" has been overused. Did you create a new profile and then did catroot fix or what did you do for the first time to get online to work? P.S. I did both fixes after installing games for windows v3.5

i hav installed latest windows live game. After starting the game its asking for a windows live account and a product key. Providing both, as i expected it doesnt accept the product key, even tryed othrs same result.

I tryed a razor1911 crack replacing the "mf.dll" file still getting "xlive.dll missing" error.

isnt there a way to bypass the win live game installation or bypassing the key chk operation. dont really wanna mess with sys32 file when people saying its risky.

1) When I run Halo 2 my computer screen becomes letterboxed and the sides are black rectangles.

2) Everytime I try to download my Windows Live Profile it stops and says theres an update for Halo 2. I've manually updated it but it still says there's an update.

2a)I have updated the GWL client and i get the same problem.Everytime the Halo 2 automatic update is like a centimeter away it crashes.
