There have been Volvos and such in swedish dragracing. But in the bottom it is an american sport that people here in sweden have come in contact with trough their interest of american cars and the building of powerfull V8´s. There would be fun for no one to put all the time and money on a Volvo or Saab (swedish brands). The old american cars often has the powerfull rear ends and drive train that no european car have. It would ba alot of work to get it to fit.

Are there no European cars that are suitable for drag racing? It would seem to be more expensive to field all these vintage American cars. Great video!
