I always hear this lovely song on the jazz station down here in Atlanta. Such an amazingly talented and BEAUTIFUL woman. Classy, rocks her natural hair, and a jazz musician. I'm 22, with natural hair, and grew up on jazz...she's such an inspiration!
@jasmine4910 Noone's saying he doesn't have talent. The Grammy's was awarded because of her musicianship. JB, although he can sing, can't tell the difference between a key signature and a 12/8 time signature, limiting his musicianship. He may be good, but he needs to expand. She on the other hand...has no problem with expansion, because she is trained musically. Oh and FYI, the bass is all about rhythm (unlike a guitar), and what JB plays is so fucking rudimentary. If she did, bye bye JB.
She is just an absolutely amazing talent. To be able to sing like that and play bass better than 99% of the professional bass players is incredible. When she was TWENTY she was offered a professorship at the Berklee School of Music. That's pretty impressive.
we could go on forever why JB fans think the best new artist grammy was stolen from him, but the truth is grammy winners are determined by more than screaming pre-teen girls. just b/c JB didn't win takes nothing from the talent hes got it just wasn't his time. what is he like 16?? hes got a whole lifetime to win many grammys. congrats to Esperanza this may have opened the eyes of the world to see there is more to current music than Drake and JB. personally i can appreciate all artist and love ES

It seems that the Grammys were shooting for musical credibility this year.

It will be interesting to see if he can offer something more interesting in the future, or, if he’ll get stuck in a rut and flame out.

I was getting dressed and realized that her voice is EXACTLY what that of a female Stevie Wonder would be. She SINGS like him....It's WONDERFUL!!!!
