Damn do I love this song! Had this C.D stolen from me back in the day. I'm going to kick the little thieving bastard's ass after he finally get's of prison...LOL!
This song is awsome! Epic ass vid, too. I liked "Soft" as well, their first hit and oh yeah "Unknown Rider" brang back good memories from the 9th grade...if you forgot, it was featured on the Sixth Sense movie...There were big things going for this band. What happened? They just completely vanished...I liked them, but just the whole CD was really wierd, I thought.
I saw Second Coming live back in 97 at Blue Cat's in Knoxville, Tn. They rocked the house of course. Travis was F.U.B.A.R. by the end of that night. But it didn't stop them from kickin out the jams! It was at this concert that I bought their self-titled cd and was a fan hence-forth. This song & Constantine being my favorite of that album. I was wondering though, can anyone tell me if Travis is still a member of the Iron Lords biker gang?
This was a very underrated cd and I still listen to it quite often. Every song is good and you can't say that about too many cds. Damn shame they broke up for good though.
Before they formed Second Coming, Johnny Bacolas (bass) and James Bergstrom (drums) were in a band called Alice N' Chains, a percursor to Alice in Chains, which also featured Layne Staley and former My Sister's Machine vocalist Nick Pollock.
My first time watching the video. Must say not bad for the lead singer. Heard the song "It's Coming After" with Layne Staley as lead vocals. That song was addictive sounding from the beat. Does anybody know any really good songs from this band "Second Coming"?
Love this song. This album has been playing in my car for the last few weeks, except Afilotimi is all scratched up! : ( Been a fan for years now all the way across the Pacific in Australia!!!!!
They recorded this album in "Bob's Garage". Bob, is Bob Rivers, a popular seattle DJ who had a morning show on KISW called Twisted Radio.
I am looking for the very first release by this band and i think it was a KISW exclusive so it may have never been released. I don't know the name of the song , but the chorus goes " If it's time to die there is nothing you can do. So if you die too here's what i'm gonna do, I'm gonna strech your skin across a frame and paint it blue. "
I ran sound for this band for about 10 years and did all of their tours with Candlebox, Fuel etc. The band did two albums after this one. One was an unplugged album that I produced called "Accoustic" and the next follow up was called "13". THis band is a complete tragety that their true potential was never fully realized.
reminds you of how you saw the world as a child, innocent and naive...as you grow older you see what the real worl is like, but you don't lose faith in HIM.
I saw these guys in Miami back in like 1998. I met the guitarist with the long beard. He gave me a pick and signed it. I bought the cd shirtly after and liked it alot. Never heard much from these guys shortly after. I always thought they big potential. Singer sounds like weiland and staley.
i loved this song. that why it was only playd 2 times and most dumdums just kept diggin on terrible crud and i never got to keep hearin them. Damn Dum Dums!
Amazing song. One of my all time favs, and one of the only songs I can recite the lyrics to. I'm have a bad memory, but these lyrics seem to stick in my brain.
I wish this band would have moved into the route of pop/mainstream. Travis has a gifted voice, it's too bad 2C isn't creating more stuff together. This band really had something powerful.
I know the lead singer from back in the days before Second Coming. Travis was the lead singer on their CD "Phathom That". You can find some practice sessions on here under "Peace and silence". This is a great song, very influenced by the friendship of Layne Staley. the peace and Silence material showcased his great range much better.
dude. where the heck did you find this?! i've been a fan of 2C since... '99 '00? not sure. back when the "mercury" album was released. but this is awsome.
This video has everyting: crazy sideburns, crazy beards, and a drummer that rocks a little too hard. haha.
I'm from the Chicago burbs and first heard "Soft" in Battle Creek, Mi. I think. Bought the cd, loved it. Loved Vintage eyes as well. This came out when Godsmack broke out. I had both cd's and picked Second coming to break bigger, of the two. Perhaps "Soft" should of been the first single video & they should of shown the live crowds reaction. (To help build that following) These dark artisy videos don't bring the Buzz. (First show them who you are, live)
Miss these guys. Extremely underrated.
