back in late 2007 I used to have to ride this road quite often whilst blood running, in the dark, in the cold and the last time I had to do it was scary as hell as was on a blue light run and the front brake on my bike decided it was going to fail and not work again..... blues n twos with no brakes to speak of in the cold darkness of a november night thinking "got to get this right as now 2 lives depend on my riding, mine and the patient" all went well and new unsoiled leathers followed lol

Nice b road to glossop, you bear left, down the hill then meet a sharp left hander. Even in summer it's wet and muddy at the woodhead side. A realy good road but, if you aint been on it take it easy for the 1st time. The last 1/2 mile or so is now humped and has cars parked on both sides.
