Shoaib just before he retired was indeed not in the best shape but the fast bowlers do the most work out of anyone in the team, they put incredible strain on their bodies which results in alot of injuries.

Even to the end he still came in bowling at 145- 155km , given that he could not sustain it like he use to but thats faster than most "fit" bowlers could ever bowl.

He is one of the greats this isn't needed.
