Would these DVDs play on a modded PS2 perhaps? I got my PS2 modded so I could play JPN PS2 games, but it would be so great if it could play these as well.

I hope these get released in R1 format. I really miss and love the Saban dub of Digimon. I know this might sound like a stupid question but can I play these on a computer? I dont have the money for a region free DVD player and I dont think there is a regional lock for computers.

@KIRA94000 R4 DVD's should work with if your computer isn't region locked. I got both collections and I didn't regret it.

Some of it is from Apple (in iMovie), some a friend gave to me (who got it from the actual composer) and the rest I just found on the interenet!

This isn't a bootleg. This is an official Australian DVD release, through the the Australian anime distributor Madman Entertainment - which is like Manga Entertainment for UK or Funimation for US. This is the only official full season release in the world with the English dub.

Unless you're referring to other releases, than yeah I too wish bootlegs weren't around.

You can also buy the DVD in a Website called EzyDVD, It's an Australian internet DVD store (That do international) or you can Even try Ebay.

The Digimon Collection 1 has eps 1-27

Collection 2 was just released yesterday eps 28-54

The DVD's are Region 4 which means they'll only play Aussie, New Zealand or Multi region DVD players.

Like TheDisneymuffin said, these discs won't play on a standard US DVD player or players that are not Region 4. They will only play on Region 4 DVD players (Australia, New Zealand) and on Multi-Region DVD players.

Yeah, on August 17th that's what they had said to me and was like 'okay...' haha. Hopefully there stores and places like Big W and Sanity will start stocking up and maybe get some more Digimon seasons!

Ah yeah, there's like only 17 copies in the country, 5 of which were at my local JB so I understand you not being able to find it.

I haven't ordered from Madman before but from what I've heard, they are very prompt with postage and delivery so you should bo good. Hope you enjoy and thanks for helping out! :)

Ahh fantastic! You australians are really lucky s.o.b.'s! It seems like they put a lot of work into it(minor episode quality issues aside). Funny how they had the dub names in their brochure but not on the dvd's themselves. :)

Is it just me though, or is the disc artwork a bit...random? Don't get me wrong, I liked "The Crest of Sincerity" very much and the Kokatrimon/Togemon fight was pretty sweet, but being disc worthy? I dunno. Same for Vademon and DemiVemon. That aside, I really like 'em.

Haha yeah I thought that it was odd with the whole names thing, but I think Toei might've had something to do with putting the Japanese one's for maybe international licensing or something.

Also, I'll admit the disc artwork is kinda weird - well atleast for the last 2 discs. The 1st disc is good cause it shows all the Digimon (minus Gatomon) fighting for the first time in their general form. The 2nd disc is also nice cause it symbolises the end of the Devimon arc.

@toujourscharming Actually, they kids did officially keep their Japanese names (with a few changes like Yagami > Kamiya); they just aren't used beyond the first episode. The English names are nicknames - see the names that are displayed when they are all first introduced.

Devimon is Devimon (デビモン) in both languages, so that may have just been a typo.

But yeah, the last 2 discs are like 'what the hell', should've had Etemon or maybe all the Champion forms of all the Digimon. However, to be honest, I would've been happy with plain discs with just the logo - I'm just so stoked that it got an official release haha.
