The Subies sound pretty good with a loud exhaust.. That flat four has different firing order than your typical 4cyl... that's why the tone is different.

yeah, the only reason that you hear the "boxer rumble" is the headers. if you change them to equal length it will sound like anyother four cyl. also, turbo cars have a deeper tone compared to NA cars.

Wat? The stock exhaust is heavy, bulky, nasty. Aftermarket quad tip are nice but still heavy. I went single exit myself for the lightest, least convoluted exit of exhaust gasses aside from a straight pipe.

lol tex. so you know how there is the V set up where the pistons go in a V configuration when the move right, and an inline engine the pistons go in a line configuration. well the Horizontally apposed engine which is in subarus is also called the "boxer" motor because the way the pistons are configured in the engine and how they move. go to subarus web site and see how it works. its pretty sick
