  • Quentin Tarantino is my favorite director

  • I read!

    This movie rocks!!

  • This is one of the most BORING films I've ever seen. And Pitt tries yet again to act as if he can act. He can't. But the German guy was great.

  • compared to most youtube reviewers, you guys aren't bad, nothing near redlettermedia though...

  • HOW THE FUCK DO U GET BOARD IN PULP FICTION

  • that movie was bull shit the fact that it is not based on true facts makes it suck even more and the long boring parts but the nazi guy that was nominated for a award was awesome in the movie

  • I don't read. And I am offended by this review.

  • I Liked this movie, thought it was funny! Love the review guys!!! xoxo

  • The Waltz , literal to figurative translation and following metaphorical comparison: SUPERB! Did I say it right? anyways, it's getting late , you guys are good at this. Want to see more. Greetings from the Midwest.

  • I liked this review;insightful and done with a sense of humor. You guys have a good IQ. Thanks for posting.

  • THIS MOVIE WAS BADDASS!!!!!

  • I agree with almost everything you guys say with two exceptions:

    1) I thought BJ Novak worked just fine in this.

    2) Fella on my right--how can you not like Pulp Fiction?

  • Love it dudes. Great show indeed!

  • You guys are great, i agree with everything the schmoes said, this movie left me breathless, i loved everything about it, im a hugeee Tarantino fan, seen all of his movies more than 4 times...lol1:40 i had thee exact same reaction when it came on, Christoph Waltz kicked phenomenal ass....i recommend IB to anyone and everyone, it's greatly structured, packed with a fresh cast and fresh talent, great cinematography, action, etc. it 's beyond brilliant in my opinion and will dominate @ the oscars!

  • Thanks Prum! Glad you enjoyed the review! We will be back very soon with a bunch of new reviews.

    -The Schmoes

  • this movie was just savage and funny as hell. The germans were savage and so was brad pits team. Makes you wish this really happened in ww2

  • Great movie!

  • Not a big Tarantino fan but thought this film was terrific. Good interview with QT on Charlie Rose too. Thanx guyz.

  • idk how anyone could not like this movie

  • how bout you two go make your own movie!

  • the apple icon in the corner means no editing talent required. and this movie is only good if you are artsy and notice the cool film angles and underlying meanings .but other than that it's boring

  • dude that movie was siiiick <3

  • So you liked it then?

  • being aware of the length of the movie I decided to wear a diaper.

  • U really need to burn that Rocky poster okay, it's really pissin' me off.

  • i dont like books

  • You had to take TWO bathroom breaks during this movie???? Better have your prostate checked.

  • i had to pee so bad but i heald it cause this movie was so great

  • Furthermore (my first dual comment on a review from the Shcmoes)

i actually liked the accent and Brad's character...a film about Nazi's, Jews can use comic relief and Tarantino always knows how to infuse humor into films....the accent wasn't horribly distracting like Nic Cage's butcher job in Con Air....i cringe and grind my teeth when i hear him say "My daughter" ...horrible... but i just read "The Fox and the Hound" after that and i'm all good...

  • Tarantino can definitely add suspense to his resume now...that opening scene was amazing....great review guys as usual...waited to see the review til after i saw the film cuz i didn't want any bit of influence while i was watching...i won't rip on Ellis for the Pulp Fiction comments since about half the people on here already jumped all over him....and this Schmoe fan is a reader as well so I get where you were going with it Harloff...just consider the source (i mean Ellis didnt like P.F.? wtf)

  • im 12 and i seen it yesterday

  • Saw this movie...and even held my piss to the end...did not want to miss this freaking film, and Brad's accent is from Corsicana, Texas...sounds just like home! OH and the Waltz guy owes Adam Schweitzer at ICM (New York...not LA) his left nut...this was the perfect film for him. Now that the USA know's about him...he's a star!

  • PLEASE VEIW AND REVEIW MY FILMS.

  • Saw it last night. It was fantastic. And Waltz deserves an Oscar nod just for all the damn languages he had to speak.

  • dude

guy on the left looks like dane cook

guy on ther ight loosk liek foreman from that 70s show

  • PLEASE ENTER ARI JESUS!!!!!

  • I have a funny feeling I will enjoy you guys more then half the movies you say is watchable!?! lol

I just love the banter you two give each other I could just watch that for hours!:)

    Blaze on BuDs!

    peaceouTy!

    TAMMpON

  • i hope it doesnt have those long dialogue about nothing

  • hahahahahh, you hope!

  • It does :\... 2 characters saved the movie from absolute bombing. Kristoph and Bradd...

  • B. J. Novak look fucking weird

  • Sgt. Hugo Stiglitz.

    end of story. suck it.

  • the movie was good alot more talking than fighting i would say but the fight parts were good tho

  • yeah eli roths character is one of my favorites in the movie. beating nazis heads in with a baseball bat

  • This film was fantastic. The trailer makes it look like it drives off of violence, but in no way it is like that. The film drives off of dialogue, and has a simpler Tarantino storyline. The acting is fantastic especially the role of Col. Hans Landa by Christoph Waltz. Wouldn't be surprised if he got an Oscar nomination. Overall, the few violent scenes were graphic but it felt necessary to the film because of its comic novel style. This is definitely worth its ten bucks for its creativeness.

  • Well I have seen many of his movies and have found them all indulgent, stupid, ridiculous, and a bit like snuff films.

I'm happy you have a "genius" to worship.

But no, I don't have to acknowledge his "genius" because I THINK his movies are shit.

Moreover, even if his films were the best ever made, I would still hate him because he assaults and spits on his fans.

    Fuck that crack-smoking faggot

Most of his fans are crackheads too which is why you enjoy his snuff films

  • Does eli roth play in this?

  • In regard to the running time, I was so immersed in the story that it felt like 90 mins to me. In the end, Tarantino has created a great film full of wonderful performances, especially Christoph Waltz, who is a shoe in for the Oscar, and it is worth seeing for him alone. The music is perfect and the script is brilliant. This just might be his masterpiece.

  • I just saw the film and it was amazing. Going into the movie I had several concerns. The trailer made the film look cheesy and over the top(especially Hitler). But let me tell you, that couldn't be further from the truth. I'm tired of people complaining because it's 2 and a half hours and that it's not historically accurate. Why does it have to be? Tarantino makes you believe that if the basterds really had existed, maybe it could have happened that way. And thats a big if of course.

  • I don't usually like Quentin Tarentino ( i thought Pulp fiction was boring and the Kill Bills were kinda stupid ) but this looks pretty sweet. I can't wait to see it!

I hope that guy from the Office dies in this movie

  • I just got back from seeing this, I need to see the directors cut this cut is missing a whole lot.

  • I want to see it also, but I think it is 3months long. You didn't dig this version?

  • yeah I had a problem with this film but I didn't hate it. I'm more in the middle about it.

  • I love this film! I'm sure it'll get even better on repeat viewings as well!

  • It should, it is highly enjoyable.

  • Who are these natzis and what did they do wrong?

  • i thought this was a satire of valarie the tom cruise thing

  • It looks spoofy in the trailer, it is deceiving. It is a serious movie, yes there is humor in that Tarantino way. However, it is just a great film all the way around.

  • How could you get bored of Pulp Fiction. That film is a masterpiece.

  • I am with you Islespatrick. If I didn't have a court order against me, I'd slap Mark again for saying that.

  • Personally I think this will be the first Tarantino flop. However nothing stays prerfect/pretty or fresh forever. Everyone at one point fux up. So we shall see.

As for the inglorious fuck 7Story sorry ass magnet. The movies you watch must be filled with virtue and gospel music that you write off things the way you do. It's enuff to take a look at your cheesy videos to know where you come from and how high you measure HAHAHAHA!!!!

  • Bold prediction my friend. I am going to agree to disagree here. We can meet back up here after the weekend numbers come in. This movie is too good to be ignored.

  • @mowler582

1 year later its his most succesful film how do you view it now?

  • cant wait for morrow gonna see some natsies get fd up thats all i care about WOO

  • Tell us what you thought!

  • Thanks for answerin'- it was eh some old ppl in the theater was funny tho chris waltz was amazing acting wise movie coulda had more substance

  • I liked pulp fiction though.

  • 7StoryMagnet you are completely ignorant to Tarantino's genius side. I mean have you seen Pulp Fiction? The screenplay is probably one of the most original creative pieces ever brought to Hollywood which He got an Oscar for so I guess your wrong about Hollywood telling us Tarantino is a joke. It's ok to hate him, but its another thing to not acknowledge the things Tarantino does well. I mean in this day of Hollywood, Tarantino is probably considered a golden nugget compared to all this shit.

  • touche' linkin, touche'

  • I personaly can't wait to see this on saturday! I'm the biggest Tarantino fan and from what I hear it is true to his outragious style!

  • 5 Stars just for using the proper spelling of "their" in your description. Refreshing.

  • Is this your job? or hobby? Anyways, I CAN'T F'ing WAIT! This Saturday. What I've seen of Pitts character kinda reminds me of Early in Kalifornia... after rehab and some military training. F--k the Nazis. "Sound Good?!?"

  • A little of both- it is our hobby to enjoy watching films, it is our job to let you guys know what is worth seeing. Pitt is really good in the movie, We ere worried it might be a little bit over the top, it isn't. He does a stellar job.

  • Cool. I saw Quinten on Letterman last night. He said he had Pitt selected for this with no back-ups. I like Pitt. He was good in 12 Monkeys, Kalifornia and Snatch. Funny cameo in True Romance. Keep up the good work guys.

  • idk why i ddnt like it alot but it was okay i guess , but chris waltz stealin the show from brad pitt was agreed by everyone

  • i waas so bored n this movie , too long less action theres no doubt that i v enjoyed district 9 more

  • Make sure and check out our District 9 review!

  • neil schweiber!

  • when did dane cook start doing movie reviews. (on the left)

  • This seems to be a running theme with Schmoes fans, I am starting to think it is a conspiracy.

  • No district 9 review dudes?

  • Have no fear Charles. We were a little backed up but our D-9 review will be out later today or tomorrow morning.

  • lol... books and movies don't mix???? how many films are adaptations of books??? maybe like twenty-thousand???? and how many times have you heard someone say: "i liked the book better???" too often to count.

still, nice review. keep up the good work. when are you guys going back on the road (remember, you went to alaska, and that was it. we in the lower forty-eight are waiting.)???

  • Well Littlerich, if we keep getting loyal subscribers such as yourself, The Schmoes plan to go on the road again. Be careful for what you wish for my friend.

  • Hey weren't one of u in a car commercial or something?

  • Perhaps Eoipa, perhaps ;)

  • have the same thing with pulp fiction, its just 2 boring.

  • Great review! Where's the NYG hat?

  • It will make its return my friend, I am thinking late August, early September

  • Love the fact that one of you guys made it onto a nation wide CARMAX commercial!

  • how could you think pulp fiction is boring?

  • I'm with you Davy, Mark falls asleep standing at line at the grocery store so who knows

  • Tarantino is the most overrated director of our time. He's must've had people and critics *see Emperor's New Clothes effect* in his spell since Pulp Fiction (which was excellent by the way). But he has not done anything essential since. Just reverberated, hollow nonsense that does not enhance anybody's quality of life (or bring more meaning into it) after you walk out of the theatre from seeing anyone of his flicks after 1994. Spike Jonze! now that's a director with talent. See: Adaptation

  • And I do understand his niche is in super-stylized B-movie camp that infiltrates mainstream entertainment with natural ease and everybody loves him for that i.e. Kill Bill. But that does not hide the fact that he is a hollow director. Slick ultraviolence and prolonged psycho-babbling is his forte but that is the premise for everyone one of his movies. The plot, setting, motivation are just backdrops and an excuse for Mr. T to complacently dabble in his indulgence. He's an idiot in my book.

  • Tarantino is awesome, love pulp fiction especially when they use adrenaline shot.

  • Great review. I've been waiting for this one for almost 3 YEARS! My only concern is that Hitler and Brad Pitt look a bit over the top in the trailers I've seen. Am I wrong?

  • First of all, welcome back Grindhouse. Second, I had the same concearn going into the film. Both Pitt and Hitler are fine (Never thought I'd ever write that sentence in my lifetime) the trailer makes them look goofy and Pitt is great, his character is just a bit out there, and Hitler is Hitler.

  • Good to hear!

and P.S. EnigmaEternity, Your an idiot in my book!

  • How profound...

I'll take that into consideration... *snicker*

  • It's You're.

I think EnigmaEternity explained it pretty well. I can't stand Tarantino!

  • It seems it is a love him or hate him with QT

  • Great review, very entertaining. QT rocks.

  • Thank you Hoogpah, glad you enjoyed the review and yes QT rocks.

  • I had to sign up just to subscribe to these. Too funny! Will definitely check it out.

  • Well we are happy you did BigStyle, Nice username!

  • Ya got me again! :D I haven't seen a lot of QT, Kill Bill and part of Vol 2, and that's it. The geniuses are the weird ones I guess. :D

    Oy Mark, I read! :D

  • Get your ass to a Blockbuster and go rent Pulp Fiction and Resorvoir Dogs.

  • Yes sir! :D

  • u guys are awsome lol

  • As are you my friend

  • Great review fellas.

I did'nt think QT would hit the mark here, but I guess I was wrong.

I LOVED Death Proof. Just had a bad feeling about this one. Now I'm dying to see it.

    Funny stuff guys.

  • Thanks Dunksie, come back after you see it and tell us if we were on the mark or if we missed it.

  • Great review guys, I try to count how many farts I can rip during a full Tarantino film.

  • Hahaha. Let us know how that works for you.

  • In Los Angeles there are screenings, when you review movies and people see the reviews, we got invited. We wouldn't put a review up if we hadn't seen it. Thanks for the trust Bugsy!

  • Are you new to this channel?

  • Once again, you guys switch my mind from 100% refusing to see a movie, to 50-50. I don't know, from the trailers, this looked like a spoof/action/thriller of a Nazi WW2 movie -- Not to say I wasn't intrigued haha. But, like I said you 2 have made me turn my cheek to this one.....That's the right expression right?....Ah forget it, you know what I friggin mean. I sat through Public Enemies I can sit through this.

    -P.J.

P.S. "Kal Penn in Superman Returns" ahahaha.

  • Let us know if you wind up seeing this PJ

  • couldn't make it through pulp fiction either. Oo but I accidentally saw Q at some obscure preview of Hero with Jet Li and Zhang Ziyi. he let off a strange human vibe.

Did you see BJ Novak on Conan last night? Conan was like, "You were a couple scenes--LOTS OF SCENES--with Brad Pitt! and you SPOKE TO HIM in the movie!"

  • Didn't see BJ on Conan and can def see where QT would be a weird weird fellow. Cooky man Cooky.

  • I love that Pitt doesn't take himself seriously and has fun with the role. You expect the overacting and winking at the audience in Taratino flicks.

I know a guy who re-edited PULP FICTION so it was in chronological order. He thought it worked better that way! LOL

  • We would like to see that cut!

  • I"d love to have seen it myself. I haven't been in touch with the guy in years, but thought it was a brilliant (if possibly illegal) thing to try.

  • Really, what is BJ Novak doing in a movie like this?

  • We are still trying to figure that out and I think he is too.

  • Geez, thank you Schmoe who isn't Christian, the one who wears a backwards hat! I'm happy that someone else found PULP FICTION pretty dull. I thought I was all alone in this world.

Great review. Will check the movie out.

  • How dare you sir! How dare you! Mark "Backwards hat" Ellis laughs and agrees with you. Thanks for watching the review!

  • Very nice guys,as always.I'll check this movie out.

  • Great review but how the hell did you guys see it. i thought it came out the 21st

  • CMoney,

It does come out on the 21st. We were invited to a screening and we happily accepted! Somedays it is good to be a Schmoe.

  • You have to stop editing in so many clips.

  • brad pitt sucks

  • Never leave a movie to take a piss!

  • Agreed my friend agreed

  • Looks good, nice job.

  • Thank you kindly

  • LOL another great review awesome job 5/5

  • Thank you Fizzy, glad you have returned with your comments!

  • Have you guys seen the original EuroCult "Inglorious Bastards" starring Fred 'The Hammer' Williamson and Bo (WALKING TALL, KILL BILL) Svenson from director Enzo Castellari?

The best thing about this movie is that it isn't a "Remake" and Tarantino got the blessing Castellari himself so he could make this film.

  • Yeah the only thing similar is the name and that they are in WWII Tarantino totally makes this his own thing, it is really great.

  • I read. I also knew this movie was going to be great.

  • Come back and tell us what you thought after you see it!

  • Good review guys, the guy on the left looks like Nick Lachey and the guy on the right looks like his brother.

  • Interesting and a first.

  • I always go to the movie theaters to watch Quintin and Roberts work always satisfied

  • You should be more than satisfied with this one Gonk.

  • Brilliant concept - totally going to check it out. Love it!

  • You silly little rat

  • Good review funny and everything and i may check this one out now because of your review :P i wasnt interested before but now i think i want to :D THANKS!!

  • Well come back and let us know what you think of the movie once you do see it

  • Awesome review, guys.I will watch this film.
