Hypocrite? Isn't everyone, Christian or not? I'm Christian, and I am also human. Christians makes mistakes, because humans make mistakes. Having faith in Jesus Christ does not mean that I will be perfect, I will NEVER be perfect. But Christ was. Christ was enough. I am not perfect, just saved by a God who is.
It might be because you have the wrong idea of what christian perfection is...
It might be because you have not percieved what sin imputed verses sin not imputed is...it might be because you lump mistakes, faults and errors of judgement (which do not have consent of conscience) with wilfull sins that defile your own spirit...it might be you equate unity of the spirit with unity of culture? YOU CAN BE PERFECT--JESUS SAID BE PERFECT.
15 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" 16 Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." 17 Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.Matt.16:15-17
@DreamingOutLoud33 Please believe that not all of us are closed minded and hateful. I am trying to love as Jesus loved - wholly and completely. On behalf of Christians everywhere, I am sorry.
Why do so many Christians get angry when they have a different belief than another Christian? They use all CAPS and sometimes call names. They tell the person they are headed for Hell and God will judge them. Why not love and state your case but do it in a graceful way? It's no wonder so many people don't want anything to do with Christianity. Jesus is amazing but His followers, not so much.
Yeah, I would have to say that I love comedy parodies of Christians...I used to be one and I always found it funny that growing up in church, we acted like Non-Christians and athiests don't know anything about us, so we should learn how to "teach them" about our faith. When, the fact is, most of the educated ones already know about our faith and can see through the bullshit and delusions of Christianity. There are more versions of it than any other religion...lol!
"a Church isn't a building full of good people, it's a building full of bad people who know they need help."
Jesus did not stop loving someone because they were too proud, because they slept around, because they lied. He knows us complete with our shortfallings and loves us still. Could you ask for more?
think about this, do not look at the christian or the church but look at Jesus Christ, for the church fails but Christ does not, i' heard the saying and have used it myself "hate the sin love the person"! and to those how say they are christians but are not, stop living a lie and fully just give yourself to Christ, or stop giving Jesus Christ a bad reputation- in romans 2 it talks of this. To the true Christian Live and love to not put done no mater what. God is the true and Righteouses Judge.
A life of true happiness is one where you live as much as you can with your focus on God and those around you, constantly giving of yourself without desiring gain. Such a life is what was originally intended in the Bible; it has been corrupted beyond end. If you call yourself Christian, you link yourself to a legend of hypocracy. If you love God and fellow man with a heart to serve, you do more than a thousand generic Christians put together. A true Christian needs not identify himself as such.
I'm pretty excited to hear that there's a consolidated resource that I can point to. I'm a pastor, and a big believer in church renewal. This may be the document that convinces my leaders among the laity that the sky really is falling.
Until people humble themelves before the living God and come to Jesus they will not see the kingdom of heaven and will perceive any righteousness as judgemental self righteousness. We (all) have violated the law of our Holy creator and ought to bow the knee in humility faith and repentance. I agree that many Chritians are self-righteous and cold hearted but when we refocus let it be on God and not ourselves. Seek God's glory and not man's happiness, approval nor appeasement. Revive us O Lord.

Not all Christians are hypocrites, we all have our limits. Some people say they pray everyday but the pray once a week.

I wouldn't say i'm old fashioned nor hypocritical.
But yes, i am anti-gay.
Bubble? What's bubble?
No like politics..
I have no glue, that's true.
I live in a real world and i hate it. Watch some news, preferably on You-tube, not TV.
Do you still think I'm hypocritical?

Why? What is you idea (definition) of religion? Jesus Christ himself hated the religious people of his day.
