radionut63 where can I get the 2 connected capacitors located opposite MRF477 ? I checked them with my meter and got noise like you did in the video. My TS-5010 doesnt work. All I get is a popping noise when the radio is turned on. Nothing lights up. Thankyou.
radionut63 The 2 connected capacitors located opposite MRF477, Where can I get them or their equivalent ? My TS-5010 isnt working at all and when I checked them 2 caps, I got a beep like you did on the burnt one. When I turn the radio on all I get is a popping noise from the speaker. Nothing lights up. Thankyou
@radionut63 Noooooo that was like in 1998. Id like to get another 5010 though. I did like the radio.
Just dont EVER hook your 5010 to an HR 2510 power cord. I destroyed my 5010 beyond fixing when i hooked mine to my 2510 power cord. It took out almost everything inside the radio including the driver and final...
@MrSuperheterodyne im glad you enjoyed it, i must say i enjoy making these videos for folks, to prove you dont have to spend BIG BUCKS to fix your radios when folks are able to fix them thereselves. I am only too glad to help!!

What you need is the service manual, and do voltage checks.......I wouldn't rip out parts.
