  • @RuthTCB Thank you for comment.

  • @Jorgeyuk You're welcome.

    Thank you for listening.

  • Wonderful song, it does the magic of taking the listener into the story to see it through to the happy ending.

On London Bridge was Jo Stafford's last hit record in the USA though it's reported this song was even more popular around the world.

The orchestra is Paul Weston (her husband), the voices sound like Ray Conniff singers; does anyone know?

Compare these vocals to Don Cherry's Band Of Gold which is with Ray Conniff.

  • @rennoske I possess six pieces of (disk 30cm) of her at the present when I knew her song for the first time in 1955.

    Thank you for comment.

  • i know this was her biggest seller (NBR 5 on the east coast) and yet it's so darn hard to find. whaz up with this; Jo's version is the best.

  • @emb1st

    Thank you for comment,

  • The title is "On London Bridge", circa 1956, with Paul Weston's arrangement, I think.

Nice to hear it again, even though that bridge isn't in London!!

    Thanks for posting

  • I've never found this typical Jo Stafford's song on YT before. Title is "London Bridge" ?
