Pinhead should of won this is a poor sequel they fucked the plot up with leviathan beating the coenobites pinhead should of got his revenge on him damn these writers they suck
They changed the Chatterer costume because the actor was having too difficult a time on the set in his original costume. They hadmade up a reason for the change in the original script, but it was edited out (bad idea for the movie's continuity). And Barbie Wilde did the female part because Grace Kirby didn't want to do that again. And it's too bad, because in the first she was REALLY CREEPY!!!
At this point, they were being reminded of their original humanity, so they are all sad and weakened by this realization. So, thinking about it, yes, he could be crying.
When he saw the photo of himself, he was reminded of who he was in his prior life. Knowing Kirsty and Tiffany were doomed if he didn't do something, he took on Channard so they could get away. He was trying to redeem himself. At least that's what I got out of it.
@5jerry1 That makes sense. Clive Barker's latest Hellraiser story (the BOOM! comic book) deals heavily with Pinhead seeking redemption. He's not a nice guy, but he was still once human. It also deals with how much he respects Kristy.
He was conflicted the whole time. He respected and maybe even liked her, but he was supposed to take her away. I saw their relationship as being like the one between Lecter and Starling from "Silence Of The Lambs." Lecter was a pure sociopath who would off you as soon as say hello to you. In the sequel, :Hannibal," he cut off his own hand rather than hurt Clarice. Pinhead obviously felt the same way about Kirsty in this story.
@5jerry1 In the comic, written by Barker, another Cenobite refers to her as "the one who taught the devil to love." I don't take that as a romantic love, but it speaks volumes on what Barker intended with their relationship.
@JEESDOWN are you trying to say that you are a gay big penis loving nigga as you so put? Nice job on putting yourself down. Here is a cookie for your retarded ass comment.
I guess when she gets pissed off she can yell if she has to. I wondered the same thing. kind of surprised me being as her voice is usually really whispery.
This portrayal isn't anywhere near as frightening as the original. In this scene, they are reminded of their humanity, but the continuity is botched. Okay, it's a different person in the role, but the voice isn't as scary, the face isn't so baleful (Kirby in the original spooks me in a way Wilde here can't), and even the costume is streamlined. It's a good sequel, but some things weren't thought out.
Pinhead was actually from WW1 for it was the horror of the trenches caused him to lose faith in humanity and God and he came across the box and was turned into a cenobite.
@Kamakaziebastard Cenobites as a word comes from two Greek words, ceno----κενός meanind empty and bios---βίος meaning life, so they are the ones who live in the void.....

As soon as they die, they revert to human form. This wasn't an error, if you thought so. Maybe you did know, but I was just saying.

I'm not sure why Pinhead actually decides to help, and fight against the Labryinth. I guess remembering that he was sort of forced into it?

@5jerry1 I think Clive Barker's original ideas clashed with Hollywood, a lot. I feel this moment was about personal redemption instead of fear.
