@magiksity Picasso could paint like rembrandt when he was 16. you should do some research before bashing one of art history's most prolific figures. Picasso's academic paintings when he was a young man are astonishing. He was classically trained in painting and a masterful draftsman although saw the potential of painting to be much more than realistic renderings of his surroundings. His refusal of simple academic nudes spawned some arts most riveting and beautiful paintings to date.
Sublime! Matisse had his own vision and style. His own intimacy with colour and texture, and his works are alluring and attractive and decorative and have a sort of childlike innocence that makes them even more interesting. The video is awesome, the transitions are pretty cool and the sequence of the paintings to the rhythm of the music to the end seem to tell a romantic story. A romance of colorful suggestions that just makes you smile :)
@JackRR952 Which is basically Matisse's way of saying, "I don't know how to paint Realism, but I'll do whatever I can, and call it something which sounds better than what I am actually capable of."
@cosg9531 that my friend is an ignorant remark. Matisse was more than capable of painting realistically although what the fauvist movement was about (the art movement matisse is cited as starting) was use of color, creating an immediate impact on the viewer, the use of strong gesture in the mark making and expressiveness.
LOVED this....and the transitions are interesting too....can you tell me what program you used to create this....and if you chose a specific transition set or if this is the result of 'random'....thanks
