when I did the quest (long time ago) you cut of the head of the dragon and bring it to the guy then you are finished and on the way to crandore you get attacked by the dragon the red guy dies and only u and ned survive.

You need to use anti-dragon sheild. You can get one from a player by buying it. Or you can get one from the Duke of lumbridge if you don't already have one.
