  • What is ridiculous about all of this is- that if he had been a married, Episcopal priest in the first place, who wanted to then convert to becoming a Roman Catholic priest- the Roman Church would have gladly have let him come over with his wife/children. So because of this archaic rule demanding celibacy for some priests and not for others- the Church has lost a good man. Congratulations Rome- another stupid, historical mistake made because of a "man made" rule! Time for a change.

  • @rickw1100 another stupid thing about it is that they claim peter was the first pope & the church was built on him as the "rock"...funny thing is Peter was MARRIED...so why's it wrong for a priest? Catholicism contradicts itself on every turn...as you said, man made bull-poop from the vatican dunghill of decretals.

  • Catholic priests have nine years of seminary to ponder their decision to live a celibate life. If they can't handle it, they should be honest enough to leave seminary instead of lying their way through ordination and then causing scandal. If you don't want to live the celibate life, don't become a priest. This discipline won't be changing any time soon.

  • @Audinos Your point is well taken but where did you get that nine years? The most a secular priest should have is eight years. Four year college, and four years theology. Some do two year pre-theology after already having had a college degree then go into major seminary. (Theology) In the past some guys had a year of spirituality added to their system, such as the Phillie boys with the Northampton spirituality year but that was closed. Pastoral years are not the norm!

  • @CathPresbyter Unfortunately, pastoral years are still the norm in most dioceses west of Nebraska. The standard practice is to place a seminarian in the diocese's most liberal parish under a pastor who tries to make his life as miserable as possible. Survivors are few, and the Orthodox and SSPX often gain converts from this practice.

  • @Audinos Peter, who the RCC claims the church was founded on, was married...but it's not ok for RCc priests? smacks of major hypocrisy.

  • It is unbelievable how the catholic church pulls out every weapon in their arsenal for a priest that kisses a woman and gets married but does nothing when a priest is molesting boys.

  • @TheGreatRL Spoken in true ignorance.

  • @Audinos Ignorance? Sure. It would be if what I said was untrue.

  • @TheGreatRL actually my firend you are mistaken...the pope did not "do nothing"...he actually PARTICIPATED in the crimes of molestation himself because he PROTECTED the pedo preists by HIDING evidence and helping the pedos escape by moving them to other locations...many times without so much as telling the new parish members that they have a pedo on staff so watch your kids!

  • The clown should have left the church before he broke his vows.

  • Cutie should have left the Catholic Church and the priesthood before he violated his vow of celibacy and before he created scandal in the Church.

Converting to Episcopalianism is a facile and false way of pretending that he is still within the Church while rejecting the priestly vow he swore before God.

Episcopalianism is no more the Church than is Lutheranism or Calvinism.

He should truly be ashamed of himself,

  • This idiot is only seeking attention and fame. He knew what was expected of him when he chose to become a priest. Now, he's acting as though he was somehow tricked into it. If he no longer wanted to be celibate, he should have informed his superiors and left the priesthood. He's probably working on movie deals now.

  • " The priestly life entails sacrifice. It is disingenuous to behave as though celibacy is a “surprise,” sprung on the unsuspecting priest after his ordination. The Church’s (and the world’s) holiest and most learned men, from St. Jerome to St. Pio of Pietrelcina, embraced celibacy as a gift from Christ. That is what it was, and that is what it always will be."

    Remnant Newspaper.

  • No man is forced to enter the Catholic priesthood. No man is forced to embrace a life of celibacy. In fact a proper and healthy seminary experience involves a period of discernment, during which time the seminarian will learn whether or not the priestly life and its sacrifices are for him.

  • "The vow of celibacy is a gift from Christ Himself: “For there are eunuchs who were born so from their mother's womb and there are eunuchs who were made so by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven. He that can take, let him take it.” (Mt. 19:12)

    .

  • This man is a coward and a liar.

    Hypocrite.

When Christ chose the apostles they were married men but once they followed Christ they lead celibate lives and look at their wives as sisters not as sexual partners.

Read history on celibacy and the people who also were the conterporaries of the apostles.

  • A terrible man, he did not even have the decency to acknowledge his own disloyalty and sin. Glad he is gone!

  • At least have the courage to acknowledge that your reason for leaving had nothing to do with doctrine or dogma but was purely driven by personal desire....

A better action would have been to have submitted to the Church in his decision to marry instead of running off to another where he could continue a leadership role. Is God present in any of this decision making?

God have mercy on us all in these days.

  • Yeshua did, indeed come to ESTABLISH his followers...and he also said "I come NOT to change the laws" Yet, Rome, without God's authority, since no MAN can over-ride God's laws, chose to change the TRUE Sabbath day, admit statue worshipping, execute a celibate priesthood, officiate a "mass" ,where by our Messiah is RE-sacrificed over and over and over..as it was written He was / is the ONE TIME sacrifice. I could go on and on about Roman heresies.

  • God bless you, Alberto. You are a man, and a HUMAN...You can serve the Lord as a married man and also an Episcopalian...but do not stop h ere...Continue to seek our Only Lord and Savior and He shall lead you unto all things and TRUTH...The BIBLE alone is the key to heaven...And the Lord stands knocking at your door. God be with you on your spiritual quest..FAST, STUDY, PRAY and READ God's love letter to us...THE HOLY BIBLE.

  • @Taharah007 Where in the Bible does it say that the Bible alone is the key to heaven? Why do you use a Bible with missing Old Testament books?

  • @Audinos where i the bible does it say we are saved by the pope or peter or the catholic church?

  • You know you miss being a catholic, you should have stayed, not as a priest, just as a normal parishioner.

  • Jesus Christ has returned. I AM.

  • It is time for a married clergy. The episcopate should be celibate (monastic). This is the Eastern Orthodox way and it is more healthy and balanced.

  • Interesting how the release of the photos helped him make up his mind.

Many Episcopal priests convert to Catholicism because they want the whole story do they not? Is this man's situation typical of what motivates Catholic to Episcopal conversions?

  • andrew12345, you need to go back to the bible, because clearly there it says jesus came to establish HIS church on earth, so that it may continue, that is where religion comes in. He started it putting Peter as head of the church on earth, and he therefore is the first pope. Its all in there, he didnt come to form millions of religions, just one. That is catholicism which stands for universal. Other religions were founded by men. But catholicism is what Jesus founded here on earth.

  • Well said bewise

  • @bewise08 "The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep."

He said to Peter, "Feed my sheep...."

  • @bewise08 Your thoughts have absolutely NO Scriptual basis at all. This is ROMAN CATHOLIC IDEOLOGY and CATECISM DOCTRINE you are repeating...NOT THE FACTS nor the HOLY WORD OF OUR LORD. Yeshua Ben Yosef was born a JEW, of a devoutly JEWISH mother, Miriam, and He came to UP HOLD the TEN COMMANDMENTS and one of them is to KEEP HOLY THE SEVENTH DAY...not SUNday, which is for pagan sun worshippers. Blessed be the Lord God of ABRAHAM, and His Holy Laws, which are IMMUTABLE!

  • @Taharah007 You must be a Seventh-Day Adventist. The only three things you guys ever talk about is why we should worship on Saturday, why you hate Catholics, and the end of the world.

  • @Audinos you must be catholic...and the only things catholics talk about is why they hate protestants, especially SDA's, prayers to their "mary-god", dead people & statues, and why it was ok for rome to change the day of worship to the pagan sunday.

  • @bewise08 Jesus didnt put peter as the head of anything:

Mat 20:25-26 Jesus called them [unto him], and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 BUT IT SHALL NOT BE SO AMONG YOU (the church): but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister...

  • @bewise08 ...Jesus was NOT the founder of the RCC debacle. How dare you accuse Jesus of such an atrocity.

  • This man is Obviously a complete Apostate! He pretends to himself that the Heretical Anglican Church is equal to the Catholic Church, which was founded by Christ! Anglican Orders and Sacraments are completely invalid!

He swore a vow of lifelong Celibacy to God, and defacted from it! Luckily for him, he can now Divorce his new 'wife' as the founder of his 'Church' (St Henry VIII) dissolved Christs declartion of the indissolubility of Marriage! Presumably by his Apostolic Authority.

  • actually, the christian church was started by jesus. not catholicism.

    Thats why its "christian".

Catholicism was started by popes and cardinals, for their own wills from christianity.

You can check this out if you want to.

But, you would be better off agnostic.

You dont need a church to tell you how to act... if you feel wrong doing something, dont do it. If you don't feel wrong doing something bad, You're fucked up. Plain and simple.

In which case, see a therapist.

  • The Catholic Church WAS founded by Christ, not the 300,000 different protestant sects!

"Catholicism was started by popes and cardinals, for their own wills from christianity. " - Where do you think that these Popes came from? Also Cardinals did not exist until about 1000 years after Christ founded the Church!

  • @iotaunam1 Boy, have you be brainwashed!!! Yesha ben Yosef was a JEW...His Messianic message of LOVE has been perverted and misquoted to serve the European monarchies in perpetuating their war machines to take over the world. The Romish church supported Hitler (See La Popessa) and has used JESUS as a shield to slaughter Native Americans, enslave Africans, Kill Muslims, Jews and Protestants...It is only a MAN MADE facade of RELIGIOSITY that does not lead to eternal salvation, but separation.

  • @Taharah007

You obviously have no clue about Christ nor His Church. It is ironic that you accuse me of having been brainwashed, when you regurgitate all of the false accusations of the heretical man-made sects.

Catholicism is the ONLY Biblical faith. Sola FIde/Sola Scriptura is not Biblical, and infact are refuted by Scripture. If you think otherwise, then give me the Verses, books and Chapters which say contrary. You are a heretic unfortunately.

  • Save the children let the Priests Marry!

  • He is trying to convince himself that he is taking the right path, but he just keeps straying away from it. He now has to brainwash himself to believe a new way of thinking, and let go of a lot of the roman catholic beliefs. He defended so vigorously the pope, and the eucharist and abortion, and noq he has to adopt new ideas. He left the church Jesus built to join a church built by a english king ENRIQUE the Eight, for the same reasons0 This king wanted to divorce and marry, de did so 7 times

  • The catholic church wasn't started by jesus. Contrary to popular belief. Christianity was started by him, and Catholicism is just an offshoot of christianity. It really has nothing to do with Jesus starting it. Sorry to say. And i am not religious btw. So don't ask what religion im from... because religion is useless for smart people that can decipher wrong from right.

It's not a hard choice to realize.

  • @bewise08 Well said. I loved how you said "He is trying to convince himself..." and "He now has to brainwash himself...". All for a woman. What does this tell you? That He cared more about his own disres then the promise he openly made to God. Love is not selfish, love is sacrifice. It's not about what you want. If God church commands a simple commitment from you, you obey it. I wonder though, what would have happened had there been no Episcopal Church and if the Orthodox Church had vows too....

  • @bewise08 Peter, your first "pope" was MARRIED...whats wrong with a RC priest being married as well? their is nothing in scripture requiring celibacy. The bible points to those who forbid marriage as antichrist.

  • I am just not feeling that joining this Episcopal church is the solution to close the door on this whole scandal.

He is smarter than that it's as if he joined a cult, and to me these Episcopals seem like the same thing Jim Jones and his cult was I pray Father Alberto does not end up like a cult leader of the Jim Jones magnitude

  • Give him a few years and they'll be divorced.

A couple of high profile Catholic priests have left the One True Church to marry their chicks- the great majority have divorced and even remarried. What a pity.

  • I'm in quite a pickle, I am fiercly Catholic, but I just don't buy parts of the bible as Literal ?? Am I wrong for that ?? I believe in Evolution..But I believe in a higher being...idfk....

  • No, you are not wrog.

    1) The Catholic Church do not consider only the bible as source of Revelation but also the tradition (the Bible comes from the tradition) and also it was written in many languages, in different times for the specific culture each text was written for. We should not take it literally from our XXI century mind, but need to understand the message in it.

    2) Bible is about faith, Evolution about Science. The bible is not a scientific book

  • Well you could be like me and just believe that God evolved human beings into place. Like lets say that God under his rules was able to make humanity by first doing many things. During the days of creation, God could have had to make the earth, dinosaurs, hit the earth with a comet, and through many years of evolution made Human beings. To him though it would had been a day since he sped up time to make humanity which to us seemed like many many many years.

  • I can see what you're saying... and at least you realize that evolution is a very real concept. I applaud you for that good sir.

I agree that there may be a god... but if you look at the history of ancient civilizations, everything points towards us being made in a test tube by someone else.

God could have made that someone else, but we were not nessecarily made DIRECTLY by god.

Check out the sumerian beliefs, and the giant spaceman drawing on the nazca plains. I think you'll see what i mean?

  • sinverguenza, inmoral, cobarde, sobervio. Apuesto que en un tiempito esa divorciada le da una patada por el culo y vuelve a pedir cacao en la iglesia...

  • It is so nice for a priest scandal to be about an adult female for a change.

  • Good for him!

  • is he seriosly named Cutie?

  • the man couldnt keep his sausage in his pants, disgrace

  • ha ha ha, could you?

  • I couldnt, thats why I didnt become a priest. If you are not sure you want to follow Jesus' lifestyle just do good as a simple secular person. But this guy loved the attention, the cameras, dont be surprised if he writes a book in a few years.

  • Exactly. Fr Cutie is an arrogant self obssessed man.

If that hideous woman he's gone and married thinks he will keep his vows of FAITHFULNESS to her, she is out of her mind. If he can't keep his vows to God, then I doubt he will to this woman.

  • Let him do what he will. Would you hit an infant for screaming? No, they don't know any better. The same goes with this guy. He'll figure out whats right eventually. Just leave him to it.

And i don't nessecarily mean catholicism. Whatever is his truth for him, goes. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks.... if its his truth, Who is anyone to tell him different?Am i right?

  • Much of what you write smacks of moral relativism.

There is such a thing as OBJECTIVE TRUTH which transcends the fields of science, contrary to the claims of of atheists and liberals.

Me saying murder is okay cannot be defended by claiming it is my truth and that's all that matters, just like me saying 1 plus 1 equals 6 cannot be defended by subjectivity.

And yes, people who have objective truth on their side have ar right to tell those in error different.

  • I see what you are getting at, but 1+1 equaling six is just retarded. Objective truth only goes so far. And if your objective truth goes so far as to tell him that catholicism is right, your truth is wrong.

That is the same thing as facism.

Try to argue that if you will, but i am right.

And we aren't talking about idiotic things that most everyone realizes are wrong, like murder. You're bringing up stupid points. And no, you can't tell someone god is real, even if its your obj. truth.

  • "No, they don't know any better. The same goes with this guy." - After spending around 7-8 years in seminary, he can hardly claim ignorance!

"if its his truth" - Truth is not a matter of opinion - the laws of logic refute your statement!

  • @malpo71 I just want to let you know that you may be a prophet after all. The cutie guy just published a book about his life and sexuality as you said he would. People are within their rights to hold any view they wish to hold about celibacy in the Roman Catholic Church, but any honest person would realise that this case is not about celibacy, but about a man who broke his vows. Running of to the beach with a woman who is not your wife is wrong whether you are celibate or married. Lets be true.

  • @Peterasi I agree a 100%

  • God bless the catholic faith, and this mans soul!

  • so someone loves God over eveything else in this world...marry someone who abuse him/her verbally and physically him/her stays married, because divorce is not an option..hmmm God will give her/him strength.. faith,courage..., until death do them apart...what if they lost love for their spouse???This is difficult.

  • well...if you want to follow all the prescriptions of the bible you will find yourself with an impossible task. But if you think the creator of the universe wrote the bible then I suggest you read it yourself and do what you think is right. Don't take anyone else's word for it. After reading it myself a few times I decided it was rubbish....but thats neither here nor there. The point is to do the research and meditation yourself.

  • I ll ask GOD. Thank you.

  • This man is being honest with himself & with the world - which is more then I can say for most priests, who are either trapped 'in the closet' or having sex in secret. He is NOT abandoning faith in God, in Xt....nor is he 'evil' for doing this.

If only the brainwashed Catholic laity could wrap their brains around the conception of honestly as a holistic, coherent concept - which should permeate their lives.....instead of living with Cognitive DIssonance, denail & shame based rage.....

  • He continues to serve God ...what he did is between God and himself...

  • Well of course he continues to serve God! One does not need to be a priest, minister, or member of a religious order to serve God....or even Catholic!

  • he just wants the pussy that's all...

  • Nice speech, but why did you wait to get caught by a paparazzi, half naked and with a woman, to come up with the truth, you are a liar, you lied to everyone who followed you for years when preaching about God and your commitment while probably having sex in your own parish. You are not a follower of Jesus, you broke your sacred commitment and lied to all of us. Now you can go write a book, make a movie, and enjoy a celebrity lifestyle, but I, I wont believe in you ever again.

  • Calm down...All this is based on one myth out of thousands. You have nothing to worry about. Now go live your life.

  • What I don't really get is how can you change from one church to another like choosing not to eat at McDonald's and going to Wendy's instead. Faith is .. in my opinion... not as easily changeable. It seems that that's not the case for this guy. Tomorrow he might choose to be anglican or baptist.

  • If you want to be catholic just follow the rules... if not, change to one of the several protestants churches... there are a lot and they continue appearing, don't they?

  • Rev "Cutie", LOL!

  • yawn....just another Christian scumbag hypocrite. What else is new?

  • well, atleast he was not fucking kids or his male "masseurs"

  • catholic church is where real gangstas go to service godfather ring a bellto any of you

  • The bible-Bullshit In Book Lies Everywhere.

  • 0:16 - Has this guy even read the old testament? God drowning babies, ordering the butchering of children, wanting human sacrifices, allowing the beating of slaves, etc...

  • The sequel is never quite as good as the original. :(

  • HAIL SATAN!!

  • Episcopalians believe in gay marriage. They do not follow the true teachings of God! Not so "Cutie"

  • Amen. But Catholics are basically hell-fodder as well.

  • anyone who doesn't murder witches and sell all their possessions and give the money to the poor isn't following the bible friend. I suppose the episcopalians should have giant beards and stone adulterers as well? In fact if you get a divorce you are as sinful as any fag in gods eyes. Do you believe in divorce?

  • Don't call me your friend while lying to me.

  • why dont you open that book sometime

  • what a person is supposed to do when is hated by his/her spouse??? Keep the relationship Until death do them apart because Divorce is sinful ???

  • thats exactly what the bible says clearly over and over again. The only way out of marriage is death or adultery. (moses and jesus agree) In which case the party that cheated would be stoned to death and the other could re-marry. I'm not a christian so I have no problem with divorce besides its effects on children.

  • Comment removed

  • Civil divorce is permitted for legal effects The Catholic Church regards marriage as a sacrament and covenant symbolizing Jesus' covenant with the Church. A civil divorce cannot remove the sacramental bond, so spouses may not remarry after it without violating their commitment. Now if a factor was present at the time of the vows which prevented a true commitment (malice, insanity, fear, immaturity, ignorance etc) the Church judges a true marriage never existed. The people are free to wed.

  • Catholic CHURCH IS A JOKE!

  • God is bigger joke, actually

  • cool
