Your amp may have protective circuitry designed to power itself down in the case of excessive clipping, but that will mute your sound temporarily until the fan cools off the inside of the amp. (Obviously a bad thing)
To get the most out of these speakers, the amp needs to match the PROGRAM (Peak wattage) level of what the speakers are rated for. Or, it needs to DOUBLE the continuous (RMS) power rating of the speaker.
You are actually starving your speakers if you only match the RMS of the amp to the speakers. Also, cranking the amp gain knobs up anywhere past halfway up runs the risk of overheating the amp, resulting in clipping.
@209DJKHALSA209 Quality is awesome for price range (can't compete with JBL, Cerwin Vega, etc. of course)
The back is plain except for the plastic part where the banana plugs and the 2 1/4" jack are.
Two of these is enough for a 50-100 people, maybe up to 200 if they are elevated. You might want to add a subwoofer depending on what type of music you're playing, though it's not THAT important if you'Re on a budget.
@209DJKHALSA209 I had them hooked up to a 175watts RMS 8Ohms Gemini amplifier, amp hooked up to a Mackie mixer. I sold everything recently, I didn't need them anymore. By the way, if you can get your hands on a Mackie product, they are AWESOME in every way! Good day to you!
@Veence1987 Truth be told , not really. If you even remotely overpower them, or put vocals through them in any form, the piezo tweeters will melt instantly. You can buy some cheap Kustom speakers and replace the tweeters with Eminence drivers for about $100.
thanks for responding so quicky are these speakers any good, for like 200 people. do they sound good, ive had doubts because of how inexpensive they are. Ive decided against pyle power amps

I just purchased a pair of these and can't wait until they arrive!!! But after watching a video of starsoundMI displaying his GSM 32's, I'm starting to wonder if I should have held out for the bigger speakers. :(((((((((
@Vandalsqd0068 Pyle Pro amps are complete garbage for sound quality, but I guess it'd be okay if you only use it at home for your own enjoyment.
From your computer to a mixer, from the mixer to your amp and from your amp to your speakers. If your amp has RCA inputs you can directly hook it up to your computer, but your sound won't be at line level. Which means you will need to push yor amp further to get the desired level of sound.
@Veence1987 well im on a budget of $330 but i know ill get the 2 geminis......i need my system to be loud with lots of bass cause i have lots of bass songs.
@Vandalsqd0068 I suggest you get a Gemini XGA-300 like me. It's the best you can have for the price of $169. And you have to include 20-$30 for each cable you buy.
I suggest you get two powered 10" speaker such as those: 123dj.com/speakers/gemini/rs410.html
Maybe even 8" would do it if you're only using them at home. They don't seem like it, but powered 8" can pack quite a punch.
@xapoc They could use a little more but if you use them only indoor you will have plenty of bass. The sound is great for the price, not as good as Mackie SRM-450 but it's above what you would expect for 120$ each.
@AustieProstie I know right, they have scammed the speaker that's supposed to pair up with this one. Theyhave never sent any refund and they have stopped replying to my email about getting the replacement one. I just found out the crossover is broken on the 1/4 jack inputs on this one, which make it impossible for me to use it with the 14 gauge cables I bought for 25$ each. Indeed a terrible company. I'm never buying from them again.
@Veence1987 How I got my money back was I went to resellerratings(.)com bitched and moaned about the comany. (Hifi reads all of the 1 star comments on this forum and replies to them) If you bitch enough and tell them that you are going to send your credit card company after them, you'll get your money real quick. haha
@cajeta17 Yes, more than enough if you elevate them 2 meters in the air but you'll also need a subwoofer. Try the GVX series subwoofers, the 18" one. It kicks ass.
@dist33 My current amp is in the description and I am currently using a Gemini XGA-3000m which is the best amp for the price to go with them. It delivers 150W RMS into each channel at 8ohms, which is perfect for the 175W RMS of those speakers.
@Dick11011101 They are really great for the price, clear sound and those kicks in the chest is what you will get. I am still waiting for my other one to arrive though.
Umm is this speaker quality good for like Dubstep and electro etc... because im interested in buying these off my friend lol

Hey, Congrats on your new speakers ..I have a few questions....
Is the quality good?
What does the back look like?
Are they good for DJing Parties?
And... Is one enough to support alot of noise?
One last thing... Whats your setup?
It's ok if you can't answer all of these questons, but if you can answer any, that would be awsome...also .. anyone else that can help... plz do so!
Thanks!

@MrJones283 No, there are no mounting holes. But what you can do, is get a stand with a flat head so you can still put them on it.

you should get a more wattage amp for more bass.
are they loud?lot of bass?
Vandalsqd0068 1 year ago
@Vandalsqd0068 I had them hooked up to a Gemini XGA-3000 until I sold everything. 150W RMS amp @ 8Ohms. For $169, that was the best amp I could get.
Well, they could be louder, but it's already more than what I would expect for $99-$119 speakers. 90dB @ 1W/1M.
Bass is okay, but then again, it's more than what I expected for $99-$119 speakers.
