Umm....not really, the 3.0 firmware will only have MMS for 3G Users not EDGE Users

Why buy 3G when you can jailbreak the EDGE for free and get swirlymms. I've been having mms for the iPhone for the longest. I feel sorry for the people that will buy a new 3G just for mms and video recorder when you can get all that for less than 8 bucks on cydia.

Seeing that it can send MMS is indeed totally uninteresting. We want to see if it can receive messages, like SwirlyMMS. It only works on a jailbroken phone, tho.

You can't lauch background application and Apple didn't realeased the Push for developpers so it will be difficult for the moment but when the Apple's push system will be released, no problem I think !

even if i was released in the U.S app store, it couldnt be used because AT&T blocks all access to their Multimedia Messaging servers if you have an iPhone.

When a new MMS is available, the mobile operator sends an USSD message to the iPhone, warning the customer that he should open the MMS application to see the new message.
